I have found that I go months without checking LibArc. Facebook has taken over most of my communication with those still using this forum. There is nothing that draws me back.
Therefore, I am retiring as Admin and closing my account.
It's been fun guys, but it'd time to move on.

I was hoping for Heroin(e) to win Documentary (Short Subject), but I guess a anxiety-ridden artist looks better on-screen than people trying fight Opioid Addiction in WV.

This Monday, I'm good.
Next Monday (Nov 6), Mom's hosting the Pythan Sisters for dinner and a meeting, so it may be close to 10p before I can get online.

Re: Why The City Never Sleeps (Modern Nights Vampire)
Gaming is going to be odd for a few weeks as I get settled in. Still have to find where I packed my headphones, still have to figure out where I can set up my computer so I don't disturb Mom. Right now, if she "doesn't have to see it", she's able to ignore the nerdier things I'm into (Lightsabers, M...

MOVING IN WITH MOM
Starting now, I am in the process of moving out of my apartment and back in with my Mom in Ansted. While this is mostly due to me failing to find a job down here, there's also Mom's recent hospital visit to deal with. She really shouldn't be alone at night anymore. My last day in this apartment will...

Ok... so... skin and bones made of some carbon-based molecule stronger than ship's armoring. Carbon nanotubes? buckyballs? Graphite-based uber-materials? Back spines as heat radiators, ok... even the biolumination they do could be release of heat as light. Blood (of whatever elemental nature) used a...

So... as you have had contact with several actual West Virginians, how painful was the portrayal? Typical Hollywood, where we're low-intelligence, but cunningly clever? Backwoods uneducated folk living in houses that look like they're about to fall down?

Psycho-somatic? He thinks it works, so his arm moves when it's on, but not when he takes the 'cyborg' parts off?

Heh... this is why you make sure you have all your bases covered when dealing with demons. If they can find a way to break free they will take it. Now, will Suyerric quit the field, or stick around to make everyone's lives miserable?

The BBC has a long write up about it. In essence, it seems the change was made because the young Prince bin Salman has a stronger following from and connection to the younger generation of Saudis.

This is true, Cat.
However, I don't see where they say they got the mummies, just the age of the ones they tested.

Re: Mummy DNA unravels ancient Egyptians’ ancestry
Or, it may be because of Invasion. After all, we do know Ptolemy replaced the reigning Pharaohs with his own dynasty, and there's evidence of earlier invasions from the Levant region. Also assuming these royal mummies were typical of all Egyptians of the time is going to skew results. I somehow doub...

Re: Forensic scientists caught a deer munching on a human bo
The point isn't that human bones were munched on-you're quite right, that's inevitable-but that it was done by herbivores I would argue that the deer in question are quite definitionally no longer herbivores. There's deer on Scottish Islands who are carnivores simply to get the needed nutrients to ...
