Slacker, I'm not going to argue with you over your experiences versus mine. You want to say something's not true from my experience, that's laughable. You know my life? I've been through this dance several times before, and even the longest running games I've been in have lasted less than a real li...

What, so when I was overtly gearing up to go to war with Mexico, that was okay, but now that it's revealed that Pacifica was the target, that's not cool? As far as "durhur declare war", you know what? No, that's not what happened, in any of these cases. More to the point, everything I've done has b...

Slacker, if folks want to declare war they're well within their rights. Right, but this is a geopolitical sim, and you're the moderator. If a person was roleplaying themselves dramatically against what their character sheet, said, would you let it fly or would there be real consequences? Or would y...

I've gotta say, this game is really heading far too quickly in the direction of Risk or Diplomacy. We've got not one, not two, but three wars started or starting because people went 'durhur, declare war!'. As much as there's at least some history there to justify it in the case of Europe, the Mughal...

The exceptionally high levels of force both France and Germany have in their colonies, coupled with your tiny-ass navies, is what's going to give you guys the most trouble. Not for nothing, you guys think I was an idiot for taking colonies over in India and then taking a big navy when the Russians h...

I want to make it clear, because people have already asked, that I did *not* know of the Roman/Hungarian alliance beforehand. I found out about Hungary's double cross about half an hour before the attacks were posted. I will not *yet* be declaring war on anyone. We are mobilizing. Please, someone pr...

The Vasan Military is hereby ordered to full alert status. Danzig regrets that war has come to Europe but cannot blame Rome for acting first in this situation, given the blatant aggression her opponents have displayed in recent months. We remain at this time neutral and stress our mobilization is pu...

I only have to invade one of you, the Romans can slow the other two down and I'm perfectly willing to turn this into a global war. Germany's high handed attitude has rubbed a number of other nations the wrong way, and don't think I haven't spoken to some of them. I tried to play this diplomatically ...

The Vasan Commonwealth lets it be known it will not tolerate any significant territorial adjustments in Europe.

The Vasan Commonwealth again urges calm among Europe's Great Powers and again stresses that Danzig will intervene to maintain the balance of power in Europe.

All Vasan military forces are on a one week warning for call up.

Well, it'll help curb the population curve at the end of the 21st century. India's beginning to get the 'let's industralize and drop our birth rate' crash, but the bar's been set so high by their initial population that it's only going to help so much.

Cleric, Slacker the build was last week not this week. Then whatever, consider that the next build. I'm going to a certain degree echo the desire for a rough calender of events-every game I've ever run has had one, and it's a ten minute exercise to put one together. If you're so against doing it yo...

So wait, is something bad happening to me or not? I'm afraid I'm missing something here.

Also, complete and total orbat posted. We may want to start a thread solely for orders of battle so we can find them easier and not clutter up other threads.

I've got most of my orbat deployed, fortresses are certainly all listed. I just have to figure out where exactly the divisions are going. The Vasan Commonwealth makes public a position on the geopolitical situation in Europe. We will look very dimly upon any unwarranted aggression by any of Europe's great powers against any other. We feel any disruption of the balance of power in Europe is intolerable and will be met by the full force...

The Vasan Commonwealth will happily send a delegation, especially given how Hamburg is only a day or so by train from our own capital.

Well, to summarize I've got the Falklands, Zanzibar, Socotra (again, replacing Aden, have to remember to fix that) and Tahiti. Coupled with access to the Grand Banks and Iceland/Greenland, the Vasans have a great deal to do with the world's fishing and whaling industries.

Aden was discarded for Socotra and I must've forgotten to change it in the OOB thread, however Zanzibar was not, just like the Falkland Islands and Tahiti weren't. One can go back to the first post or two I made, when people were being pressured into taking colonial empires and I stepped up as the V...

I should just make a reference list for this. 9. As an addendum, D20 sucks ass for modern styled games, and I really don't understand the love some people have for D20 modern and the variations thereof. It works well for more cinematic styled games, but not grittier ones. This. I know it's off-topi...

He knew there were some in the Navy who resented the Mughal's attitude towards Europeans, but Jan kne...
