Founder's Pack for Landmark
Okay, so, here's the deal. SOE has managed to make major headway in my books with Planetside 2, which is a fantastic game. Now, they're gearing up to make the next Everquest game, and at first, I was skeptical. I mean, EQ2 sucked ass, and anyone who's played EQ1, once the fond memories of it being one of the first subside, will remember the problems with that one too.
So EQ Next, let's see the pitch.

If you watched that, I'm sure you're interested, but maybe not sold yet. Watch the next one.

That is happening. It is apparently really happening. Two games, Everquest Next and Everquest Next: Landmark. EQN is going to be a massively multiplayer Minecraft adventure mode, while Landmark is going to be Minecraft survival mode with a touch of creative.
And if you make something suitably cool, not only will they put it in the game, they'll pay you for it, and if someone else likes something you've built and puts it in their creations, you get royalties.
So we get to build in a highly advanced free-form fashion, destroy things in the world, and go on actual honest to god expeditions to establish new towns or raid secrets of the deep.
This is going to be spectacular in how it's going to either fail miserably or succeed amazingly. Either way, I kind of want to watch. And they're offering early access to the more mining and crafting part of the game. I'm very, very tempted.

I read a few of the articles when it was first announced, this is the first time seeing footage.
I kinda like it.
