So the expansion to F.E.A.R. (First Encounter Assault Recon) comes out in October. Producers are Sierra, Monolith and Timegate (Since WB Games and Seirra parted just prior to the original game being released).
There's the free demo out right now, downloaded it tonight and took it for a quick runthrough.
Spoilers for the story happen now.
It picks up right where the original game ends, Auburn just blew up, your circling in the coptor, then it crashes. You see in the cenematic movie Alma stands over Fettel's corpse, then a group of Replica Soldiers in a church suddenly lift thier heads.
So yeah, Alma took over the Replica battalion.
The graphics in the demo are slightly bit better than the original, the AI seems to be held in good reguard, though I found with the right tricks, the AI is still dumb as rocks.
Look forward to playing the expansion when it's out officially in October.
