#1 What is your screen resolution?

Post by Destructionator XV »

A quick survey here to determine what I should shoot for in my M3 default editor sizes.

You can find out on Windows by right clicking on your desktop and going to properties, then settings. It should be on the right side of the dialog box.

I use 1280x1024, which is pretty big, but I almost never maximize anything, however, I still sometimes lose perspective. One thing I hate on other computers is when a new window creates and it is too big to fit on my screen! By seeing what people use, I hope to avoid that.

edit: add option "Other"

320x200. I'm using MS-DOS.

Seriously, I stay with 1024x768 just simply I've been getting used to it for years. Besides, above that resolution, there ain't many good desktop wallpapers I can find (yes, of course the pic can be stretched but still...).

So be it. If saying "NO" means being alone, then to hell with love, with romance, with marriage, and all the shit life keeps pumping at me. I'll walk alone, but with freedom and a healed pride.

NEVER buy a LiteOn CD/DVD Writer. Ever.

320x200, good resolution. I used that in my programming for a long time, and was actually considering using it again on my new project!

Desktop wallpaper? Bah, I have three set (multiple desktops), but my screen is always so cluttered (recently) / used up that I almost never see it anyway. I figure I have this big monitor, might as well use it to do many things (also one reason why I don't maximize very often; I like to see as many programs running at once as I can (and I find it harder to read text when maximized))

On my desktop, 1280x1024, it used to be x960, which is the proper resolution, but I enjoyed windowed games at x960 so I could have my start bar visible to watch for incoming messages and the like.

On my laptop, I use 1920x1200. My desktop will follow once I get a new monitor. I'm eyeing that 24" Dell widescreen.

1152x864. I used to use to use 1024X786 for the last couple years because that was the most my display would support with any reasonable refresh rate, and I'm not upping to 1280x1024 because on a 17"er that makes stuff too tiny.
