Seattle sucks. Let's face it. But apparently a job opens today off in Berlin.. I've enough left from the 'save the world' gig to head out. It's gotta be better than the Barrens... Right?
(Dragonfall DLC now on Steam. Time to get strapped for bear.)

FireWing? I thought that Wyrm got shot down over SOX by the Luftwaffe.

Currently doing the Mk VI run. Nuff said.
Like: Save pretty much anytime, much expanded available hardware, all the signs in Berlin are actually in german
Dislike: The 4 runners limit, me not being able to buy gear for anybody else, the continued need to confirm that yes, I want to reload my gun, the difficulty level on some missions.
EDIT: Dislike, cont'd: Why does the focus automatically go to the input field for numeric keypads but NOT for text ones?
But by and large, I like. This is easily as good and probably better than
Dead Man's Switch so far.
Also, My Lady? She was. The game will elaborate on that as it unfolds.

I'm sure that AI can be trusted with ultimate power. Nothing can go wrong from all of this, and all the world is saved.
(Plus those turrets came in damn handy when the endgame came around.)
Figuring out what I was doing with the final battle was kind of a pain in the ass, but it wasn't so nonstop frustrating as the final battle in the first game. I didn't even lose anybody on the team.

Also, the four-member party limit kind of reminds of what amuses me about X-Com. It seems that Exalt and everyone else can figure out how to show up to a fight in force, but we have to get extra special military schooling just to add two members to our squad and then we hit our limit on how to figure out to maybe send more than one bird full of troops to a problem spot.
E: Actually the six members works in X-Com, but the four members in Shadowrun does annoy.

Nevermind. We aren't talking about the original XCOM, are we.

Nah, the new one. I never actually played the original.
It just irks me when I'm down on some operative extraction and Exalt apparently can send the better part of a platoon to hassle me and my reinforcements are all chilling back at the base playing space poker.

JA2. Yes, 6 member team limit. Guess what-as long as the collective teams total didn't exceed 20 (that being the engine limit), all of them could arrive in the target area at the same time with proper handling. Date of publication: 1999.

Yeah, it's hard not to be a little bitter when my squad's pinned down around the encoder with nine EXALT assholes lobbing rockets at me.
(Yes yes, not all of them are carrying rocket launchers but still it's annoying as fuck.)
Still can't believe I got out of that without getting anybody killed, but that's the beauty of amped up troops with plasma. Also EXALT snipers are relatively easy to fry.
Anyway, back to Shadowrun, what I do like about this one is the wondrous ambiguity of the ending. In my case, I was all
"Sure predatory AI that looks just like our former decker and fearless leader, have a dragon!"
which I'm pretty sure is going to lead to spectacularly interesting and possibly very bad things in the future, but of course the game just leaves it with 'I dunno!'.
