#1 Warhammer 40K RPG in the Works

Post by Cynical Cat »

Black Industries and Green Ronin are collaborating in producing a Warhammer 40K RPG. These are the guys who have done an excellent job on both the Black Company (just Green Ronin) and Warhammer Fantasy Rolplay 2nd Edition (Black Industries and Green Ronin). Its coming for March 2007 and it appears to be in very good hands.

Click me if you love the Emperor!

The first installment is going to be members of Inquisitional retinue.

The second, more complex and deals with Rogue Traders and aliens.

The third deals with Deathwatch and is of course obscenely high powered.

All parts are compatable and will work together.

I have to wait 18 months to get the second one then another 18 to get the Adeptus? Fuck that. As interesting as this is I'm not that patient. It looks really cool and seems to be in good hands but I doubt there is any good reason beyond being money grubbing that these books are gonna be so spaced out.

I have to disagree. Green Ronin puts a lot of work into its products and for WFRP, has released a steady stream of high quality support material. If they're saying 18 months between games, I don't think it is just about the money.

As for the Astartes book being last, I'm impressed enough that they were able to figure out a way to make those bastards playable in an rpg.
