My programs to allow us to play online with custom cards are nearing useful stages, and it got me thinking about making a Librium Arcana Magic set, perhaps similar to what SDN did [
Example *lots of pics* ].
Or if anyone here plays with the actual cards in the real sets that could be fun to.

I use to play it quite actively and even did well in tournies. As for a custom card set I was working a while back on an anime card set(The Fanboy set) which had many humerous ends.
If you do all the sets from Alpha through Current that would rock.

I used to play but I never got into it enough to get any good and don't really remember how to play.

My online game can play all cards, from Alpha all the way up to Dissention (which the physical cards haven't even been released yet AFAIK).
When I play physical cards, I am currently playing all Revised edition cards. I dare say I pwn n00bs old school.

Don't even get me started.
Two undefeated decks, a few infinite combo decks, complete sets of power nine...
Build in a search function adam so i can find my old cards, i've forgotten a lot of the names...
*cackles*
And then there was the sliver deck...
Turn 6 infinite slivers with infinite power/toughness...

Search function done and actually online already:
http://arsdnet.net/o.php
The user interface is just a quick slap together, but you should be able to make sense of it, just punch in your params and hit search. The checkboxes on the side offer more control over the search, but my default values are pretty nice anyways.

You need to have selections for editions or a formatting method to properly search.

I didn't do that with the online page, because it is supposed to be a generic database search engine.
The offline program does all that and more, but it is still half finished and somewhat buggy. And Linux only right now, but once I have it finished it will work on Windows too.

I have played since Revised and The Dark ... but I've not really gotten into the newer decks other than Kamagawa. Thus, my decks are all 'old school': "80%" is w/u Falcons & counters, "CreepyCrawlies" is a straight green deck with poison, "Night of the Kah-niggits" is a w/r Flanking Knights deck, "Felines and Fuzzies" is a r/g/w Cat/Felinoid deck (with cat-toys), and "PainLands" is my r/b critterless Destruction Deck.
What really pisses me off is about 7 years back I had a box of decks stolen from the gameshop. Inside was my original 80% (Angels, Falcons, and Counters), my DragonDeck (5-color, every dragon & drake from Revised to Urza's Saga), and my 5 color Sliver deck, with Queen. Every deck in there used the original dual-lands (Tiaga, Tundra, Volcanic Isle, Tropical Isle, etc) ... I had at least 2 of each one!
That box was probably worth $500 at the time, just from the cards in it... and I'll bet they all wound up in the trash

But they made MORE of them!! I've been trying to get a full set of the Rathe and the Legions slivers. Think of what a nasty deck that would be!
Ward Sliver - Protection from (color)
Crystaline Sliver - All cannot be target of spells or effects
Root Sliver - All cannot be countered
Quick Sliver - Play All as an Instant
Essence Sliver - Gain life when Sliver deals Damage
Brood Sliver - If damage dealt, get 1/1 sliver token
Plated Sliver - All gain 0/+1
Muscle Sliver - All gain +1/+1
Heart Sliver - All gain Haste
Ooooooooooooo... I like!
33 Total Slivers!

I had a 5-color deck that eventually morphed into a sliver deck. The only rare one I had was Magma Sliver:
All Slivers have "T: Target Sliver gets +X/+0 until end of turn, where X is the number of Slivers in play."
Now, if each of ten (9+1 attacking) slivers targetted the same attacking sliver...+90/+0. If you had a hundred slivers...
I also have a black and blue deck, which is my pride and joy. Seasingers, Skull Catapult, and Lords of the Pit. And a bunch of other awesome stuff, like 4 Drain Lifes.
When Adam was first making this program, it could only do one edition at a time, so we tested by playing Ice Age decks. I now love Kjeldoran Skyknights. And I just had an idea: if Adam's programs become a hit here, we could have a Magic Usergroup and a forum for discussing the game and matches we played on it.

Or we could just use the existing Computers and Gaming forum. It could use a little activity.

Let me get out my Zombie deck and those slivers will be dead before they are in play for a turn.

Hard to kill off an infinite amount of slivers
And Crystalline sliver prevents that

Umm...Pestilence isn't targetted, so it will still deal damage to them. Protection from Black, like from a Ward Sliver, is what might stop it. There's also Engineered Plague, which would stop them even with Protection.

Bwahaha! I'd forgotten that. Been awhile since I've played.

pestilence wouldn't do jack shit other then piss me off...
it deals one damage to each creature and player
hard to kill off something that's an infinite power and toughness...
Same thing for the plague...
they deal 1 damage more or less...
With my deck all my precious slivers would be so far above that point that even attempting to do such a thing would be a futile gesture....

Umm, I don't play Magic, but I'm just wondering why the hell you all are spelling it 'sliver', when that's a wee bit of wood and not Ag...

It is the name of a specific type of card. In the game, all sliver type creatures enhance eachother, so the more of them you have out, the stringer each one becomes.
