So I picked it up today when I went to Gamestop....I had a buncha old PS2 and Gameboy Advance games to turn in, so I had a buncha store credit.
let me give you my in universe review....as posted on SDnet..

The line was long at the Poketeopia Airline Terminal, but they made up for it by giving us free peanuts and coke on the flight over. The Stewardesses was all very nice, and one had a great rack. I wonder if she'll be on the return flight....
Anyway, as we approached Poketopia Island Airport, the Stewardess informed us we should make a Profile before we touch down - so I did. I hate these phonepads they had us use..thought they would have given us a keyboard at least.
So I deboard the plane....and wouldn't you know it, they lost my damn luggage. Bastards. They always lose my luggage. Next time I'm taking the cruise ship.
So I report my lost luggage, check into my hotel and head to the most awesomest Pokemon Theme Park in all of the world, Poketopia!
The lady at the gate gave me the run through, and since it was my first visit, it was kinda helpful. She even gave me a free rental pass! So also informed me of the various things I could do here, so I listened intently, (ok, so I yawned a couple times, but it was helpful...). I was glad I brought my DS with me on the plane, it wasn't lost with the rest of my luggage, and I was able to access my Sinnoh Storage Boxes and have them sent to the Poketopia Storage System.
After all that was done, I went about creating two battle passes (different Teams) to mess around with in the collesiums. My first match I decided to try out the Wifi option, and soon was battling in a 3 on 3 matchup with someone from across the world. Very fun it was.
His Palkia managed to take out my Mewtwo and severly damage my Snorlax, while his Infernape managed to finish off my Snorlax and my Venusaur. I noticed despite my Pokemon all being lvl 60+, the Poketopia battle system auto-limited them back down to 50 for the wifi battle.....
Since I still had a bit of Jetlag, I decided to head back to my hotel room, and grab some sleep, I'll mess around with it some more after a nap...

It's the first Wii game to have Online Gaming, fully supported. My first battle was in the wifi arena, and it was interesting enough.
The Graphics are...well..Pokemon, their better than anything that's been out in the series before in the 3d offerings, you actually see the pokemon hit by the attacks now, and each Monster has it's own animation for every attack it can do.
It has full DS compatibility, you can use the DS as a controller during battle and all, as long as you have Pokemon Diamond or Pearl (you even get to copy your pokemon boxes from those games to PBR)
Basically..if you have a Wii and like Pokemon, pick it up.
