[quote]Whatever else negative you can say about Uwe Boll, one thing you can’t criticize him on is his strong love for video games. I mean, there may be over 200,000 signatures on an online petition asking that he stop making movies, but he clearly loves the gamer market, and at least goes into each project hoping to make good films for that fanboy community.

Right? Right?!?

“You go for it, to please the game fans, but on the other hand if you have the hard core gamers, they live in their own world. And you cannot fulfill their ideas from a video game based movie, it’s impossible,â€

I think a wow movie could be done, and I think it could be done well BUT it would probably be best if the writers for the movie worked very closely with the writers from blizzard. Warcraft has a long running plot line and a very dedicated following but it could be possible to write a movie for it, however I don't think blizzard ever will. Probably for the same reasons that they cited to Boll, but just to entertain the idea what about a Starcraft movie?

You're missing the point of the article Bait. Uwe Boll is know for making video game movies that have next to nothing to do with the video game itself. On top of that, they're also bad, very bad.

This isn't about "Yay there won't be a Warcraft Movie!"

This is about "Thank God that hack won't be touching Warcraft!"

I'll be honest. I had to look up who the fuck Uwe Boll was because the name didn't ring a bell. Turns out I've never seen one of the guy's movies. But looking down the list, I know why I never have. They're video game movies about generally bad video games. And generally I've been turned off video game movies following the Super Mario Bros. fiasco.

I didn't really know who he was until I looked him up, and realized he was responsible for that fetid, abysmal excuse for a spur-of-the-moment amateur camcorder-based video Blood Rayne, filmed by a drunken, stoned, loaded, and freebasing director who was frying balls when he came up with this idea in the first place.

The only even remotely passable scene was the sex scene in the movie. I haven't played many of the games - someone who has, please chime in and let me know if there are any actual sex scenes in any of the games.

So in short, this cheerfully awful douchebag filmmaker Mr. Boll got told "wtf lol FUCK no" from Blizzard when he asked about making a movie about their current computer-based heroin fix, World of Warcraft. That part all by itself is funny; but compounded with the above, it incites loud, mocking laughter in his general direction.
