For many of us, Transformers: War for Cybertron was the Transformers video game we had waited nearly forever for - at least since the PS2 Transformers game based off of Armada.

Recently, High Moon Studios announced the sequel will be out in Fall of 2012.....and it will include everyone's favorite badass...

Also spoken of in in at least one article on the web, was the fact that Bruticus (the combined form of the Combaticons) would be playable as well. Time timeframe for the game is the final days of the Great War just before the Ark makes it's launch.

GameInformer has a "hub" site up for all the information they are getting to release concerning it, and so far...all of it looks like it will shape up to be something good.

My only big question? Why does Grimlock have a T-rex mode on Cybertron?

Because he's motherfucking Grimlock. Are you going to tell him "no, you can't do that"?

So the "teaser to the trailer" is out, and this is it. The full trailer will be premiering during the Spike Video Game Awards on Dec 10.

Optimus has a very "Power Master" feel to his look in this trailer.

Also

GRIMLOCK

Optimus looks pretty much like he did in the first game, really. Which is good, because the first game was boss.

What I want to know is how the hell High Moon Studios managed, with a fraction of the budget, to make a two minute trailer that is thousands of times better than three high budget Hollywood films.

Here. Here is my wallet. Take what you want, leave the game.

Okay, correction. I need a PS3, X360, or possibly sufficient hardware updates to run this game.

I like how Optimus' response to Bruticon and the entire Decepticon army coming for him was to release Grimlock.

I haven't played any of the Transformers games before. But I will definitely consider picking this up.

Charon, it's well worth it. Martin loved both the first and second one.

High Moon Studio's Gameplay Trailer plus Release Date

August 28.

only on consoles...no PC.
Why no PC High Moon Studios?

Edit: For some reason, I can't embed the video. Maybe someone else try it.

No PC version of this one. This gives me much sadness. So I doubt I'll end up picking this up. Why? I have all the consoles. But they're all modded and that would involve having to update and unmod one of them to play this. And it just aint worth it for this game, as great as it looks.

My Brethren! Our Prayers hath been heard, and hath been answered!

BEHOLD!
Kotaku.com wrote: Earlier this year High Moon Studio's game director Matt Tieger told me his team couldn't handle making a PC version of Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, and PC gamers were a little upset. High Moon still can't handle creating a PC version, but High Moon Studios and developer Mercenary Games working together are getting the job done.

High Moon, you sneaky bastards.

Scheduled for release on August 28, day and date with the console versions, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron for the PC features the same story, characters and gameplay, but without the pesky Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 requirement. Hopefully Mercenary's involvement will make for a smoother experience than the PC version of
Transformers: War for Cybertron.

Expect the PC version to go up for download purchase at digital retailers soon.
Praise be to Unicron for his deliverance unto us, the PC-Gaming Master Race of this fine fine title.

Between that, and the announcement of Pre-ordering through Gamestop would get you a G1 Skin and Weapon pack (GenOne Optimus Prime skin for MP and SP play along with a Megatron Pistol and Shockwave Cannon guns)

Today is a good day.

Not bad, though we'll see how they pull it off. This seems a bit rushed, and I'm still not happy about them axing co-op.

Apparently the company doing the PC port was FOMERLY known as Mercenary Games, but is known as Mercenary Technology.

Mercenary Games are the guys trying to do the FleetCOMM games using Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

I don't think the port is going to be a rush job, more like it's just now being announced - and the studio is doing just the PC port, while High Moon is doing the Console versions.

If they're the same guys that did it last time? It wouldn't hurt. They didn't do a great job last time, and on a multiplatform title, there are only so many reasons you hold off on announcing the PC version for this long.

High Moon themselves were the ones who did the PC port of the game for War for Cybertron. They've admitted that they pretty much sucked at porting the game properly, and they were not doing the PC version in house for Fall of Cybertron because it's not in their wheelhouse.

According to Gamespot, this is Mercenary Technologies first console to PC port, ever, but their team has strong track record of other games.
