UN
The Human Rights Commission is charged with investgating Human Rights Abuses and reporting them to the international community. While a resolution in 1947 specific states however that the Commission has no power to act upon the human abuses it uncovers, it is still expected to objectively investagate and report.
However it is clear that a body charged with reporting the abuses cannot do so effectivly if the very people in charge of the investations are the ones being investgated. It is very much like placing the Mob in charge of Law Enforcement. It has been stated by some that only the UN is fit to be the moral authority of the world, if this is such I demand that if the UN intends to be the moral authority of this planet and our specis that it first be moral. This means that there must be requirements, clear and open requirements for membership on such bodies has the Human Rights Commission.
Let me make this clear, I am not claiming moral authority for the United States. I don't care if it is decided that having the death penalty disqualifies a nation and has such disqualifies my own. I can live with that. But the current system is nothing more than a bad joke carried out to far. There is no longer any excuse to close our eyes to wide spread abuses and genocides. Some of which the UN has refused to even admit exist. The system must change.
These nations are the one who sit on the Human Rights Commission. The bolded nations has many of you are likey to guess are the ones who are known to be Human Rights Offenders.2005
