I am of course speaking of his roast of not only Bush but the media itself in his appearence at the annual dinner. The man walked into a crowded room and proceeded to slam everyone in it. No mercy was shown, no prisoners were taken, Scalia was reported to have said that it reminded him of the days of his youth, the days of high adventure! *yes cookie for easy reference*

As proof that the man has more balls than the entire political sturcture of France and the DNC combined (not counting Hillary Clinton who is known to keep a collection in her office cabinet) I present This Link as video and audio proof.

Mr. Colbert, I salute you.

As much as I have undying respect and love for Mr. Stewart... He wouldn't have been able to stay in character. He has a marked tendency to giggle.

I find it amusing how much of the press claims that his appearance was a complete flop. I guess they couldn't stand the criticism.

Heh. Read a column about how he was simply being a rude son of a bitch to a captive audience, and that if he had guts he wouldn't do that in a venue where his victims had to pretend to laugh at the jokes. I don't know; haven't seen the video. But it still sounds funny as hell, columnists be damned.
