Link to Yahoo article here.
As discovered by our very own Caz, who is presently distributing it to some media friends of hers, and I'm rehosting it myself before they yank it.
BEHOLD!
This, boys and girls, is a very poorly-done Photoshop job. The original explosion obviously wasn't large enough to suit the boys and girls corresponding for Reuters, so they just cut and pasted some more smoke in.

http://littlegreenfootballs.com/weblog/ ... eirut&only contains some analysis of the picture in question.
Caz is the smartz.
Edit- Whupz, and she just told me she got the link from somebody else.

LGF? I think I'll wait for analysis from someone who is not batshit insane. But yes, that screams 'shopping.

All the analysis is on the blogs right now, which are fairly uniformly out there, but the ball is rolling and more details should be arriving over the next few days.

Well, there's
this now, though I can't find a corresponding page on the shittily-designed Reuters website.
If this is really the original image:
it sure as hell doesn't need any sexing up to look nasty.

I'm getting an error message. Did Yahoo yank the article?

Ooh, just read about it in Hebrew and looked for an English version.... Well, the media can be rather annoying these days.
And you can't trust the media anyway....
A family friend we sort of "adopted" is a spokesman of the IDF, and he tells us about the foreign reporters...Well, they tend to do all kinds of funny things, like stand next to some old roads in Israel and say they're in Lebanon.... (Sky News did it a few days ago....ROFL)

That's quite clearly (and very badly) photoshopped, you can tell in the way that it seems to have a repetetive pattern, going darker at the bottom and lighter at the top, but it's the same bloody pattern; all the same four identical clumps of smoke arranged in a vertical-diagnal fashion.

Geraldo! The spirit of Riveria lives after all. To bad the grunts in Iraq weren't allowed to gut the little pansy bastard.

I remember quite a few Republican Bush-supporters using pictures of Istanbul as proof that Bagdad (sp?) is currently in a state of peace.
Not even the same fucking country.
