#1 Indian-American wins in Louisiana

The US state of Louisiana has elected its first non-white governor, Bobby Jindal, since the 1870s.
Mr Jindal, 36, also becomes the youngest US governor and the first Indian-American to head a state.
The Republican took 54% of the vote to win outright over his nearest rival, Democrat Walter Boasso, who got 18%.
Outgoing Democratic Governor Kathleen Blanco chose not to run again after she was widely criticised for her handling of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina crisis.
The Oxford-educated son of Indian immigrants, Mr Jindal narrowly lost the 2003 election to Ms Blanco.
In his victory speech, Mr Jindal repeated his election pledge to fight corruption in the state.
"They can either go quietly or they can go loudly, but either way they will go," he said, referring to people who were "feeding at the public trough".
He has also promised to cut taxes and improve education.

Gee, I'm celebrating. I frankly can't give a bucktoothed fuck that Jindal isn't white, he's still a republitard. I was no fan of Blanco either, though. (thanks for ensuring LA will never have another female governor,

Even from that short article, Jindal's agenda is madness. Cut taxes
and improve education?
What are you going to do,
borrow the money like the Feds and 99% of Suburbia? That economic ship is rapidly listing to port, buddy.
Not that that even matters. Central and Zachary broke away from the EBR parish school system because it's ineffectual, mismanaged, and run by idiots. Throwing money at the problem wouldn't even help, it needs to be torn down and rebuilt from the ground up.

Honestly? Boasso wasn't much better......
but the only thing out and out worse? Boasso was corrupt, publically, as Insurance Commissioner, he actually took campaign contributions from the insurance companies he was suppossed to regulate.
Yeah..the politics of our state suck....ask Ra.
