#1 Jack Cafferty on Palin

I thought this was both depressing and hilarious at the same time--her answer to the question was one of the most useless things I've heard in a while. By the end of it I was blinking and shaking my head trying to collate it into a useful message of some kind. That never happened.

(To whom it may concern: If it is deemed this is not news--the idea that Palin is a moron unfit for POTUS--then by all means move it)

I've never seen Cafferty get that angry before. He looked and sounded INSULTED at having had to listen to that (so was I). Blitzer tried to equivocate and Cafferty snapped at him.

Damn...

I love Couric's face in that clip. You can just tell she is trying to look attentive when what her face really wants to do is :wtf: and . And really, what other reaction can you have? It's all gibberish that has nothing to do with the question.

People make fun of the way George W. Bush talks, but the man is not stupid, he is beholden to a rotten ideology, but he is not not stupid, merely inarticulate. Sarah Palin, on the other hand, is very articulate, as seen in her ability to engage in verbal diarrhoea without pause, and yet even the most cursory examination of her words shows that they are nothing but noise, a string of buzz words strung together in a manner that lacks any resemblance to logical construction. One wonders how the fuck did this woman graduate college, and whether her degree is worth the paper it's printed on.

I like the quote by one of the people that wrote into Cafferty's file:

"This woman makes Dan Quayle look like a genius, and George W. Bush look like an intellectual."

The woman went to six different universities, none of them very tough, and ended up with a degree in Journalism, not the most demanding of subjects.

[quote]Palin heads to 'debate camp' in Arizona
Posted: 12:33 PM ET

(CNN) — As some prominent conservatives begin to raise the question of whether Sarah Palin should remain on the Republican presidential ticket – and others call for her to be given more public exposure in a bid to reverse falling poll numbers – the McCain campaign is bringing the Alaska governor to John McCain’s Sedona ranch for several days of intense debate prep.

Senior campaign advisor Steve Schmidt and other top officials met Palin in Philadelphia Sunday night, and are traveling with her and McCain to a Columbus, Ohio event Monday morning. The group then heads to Arizona.

The original plan was for Palin to prepare in St. Louis, where the vice presidential debate will be held Thursday. Instead, she has already been preparing in a Philadelphia hotel for four days with advisors. She will now get ready for the debate at McCain’s rustic creek-side home — what a top aide calls "debate camp."

The aide, who's part of the team prepping Palin, tells CNN they decided to take her to debate camp there because it is an "invigorating and enjoyable place to prepare for Thursday."

"SP [Sarah Palin] loves it, and has her kids and Todd coming," wrote the aide in an e-mail, and that "John McCain himself came up with the idea.â€

Well in fairness, almost all candidates go to debate camp prior to debates, whether they're simpering idiots or not. On Thursday, we'll get to see if it helped.
