I back him in this. I'm not sure what the hell Obama was thinking in picking this guy but he's part of the damn problem.

I wouldn't go so far as to accuse straight-up corruption but I think the administration understands that they will still need campaign funds in 2012. Plus, the administration has to walk a very fine tightrope with regards to finance; they can't appear too conciliatory, but they can't be seen as antagonistic, as conservatives would no doubt destroy the administration if it could be spun as 'anti-business' in any credible sort of way.

Wall Street has said that Bernake not being re-nominated would 'lower investment confidence'. This is finance speak for 'Do what we say or the economy gets it.'
