From now on, can you post the article along with the link using the quote function, and also be more clearer in writing your title? Saying something is 'disturbing' is all well and good, except that it could apply to just about anything. Saying 'Video of 2yr old Indonesian smoking a cigarette' is clear and helps those browsing the forums to see at-a-glance what a thread's content will have.
As for the video, it's sad and disturbing but so are a great many things in the 3rd world. Child slavery, sexual slavery, poverty, war, famine - these and more are all daily realities for a huge percentage of the earth's population. I mean, some babies in Africa get born with HIV because their mothers have it when they fall pregnant. That's the very definition of getting a shitty hand dealt to you in life.

Pretty much.
Kids smoke for the same reason adults do - stress, and looking cool. Neither of which are good tradeoffs for being able to breathe, but hey - to each their own.
And to echo Stofsk here, don't just drop a link in N&P with your only comment being "thoughts?"
Be mindful that some people are at work when they read the forums, and some websites will be blocked (for whatever reason). Actually posting the news article content helps quite a bit.
That, and you're more likely to get responses, since few people here would just click on a random link they find on the internet.

That one I quoted while on my phone, I can copy URL, but not entire articles, thought I admit with other ones I have used other forms of access and just copied the link. I will start copying entire articles as long as I am at home from now on.

Article:
[quote]A very shocking and equally sad video surfaced the internet this week . It hails from an Indonesian fishing village of Musi Banyuasin . It has a kid , Ardi Rizal , a mere two year old kid smoking a whole cigarette .
When his parents are questioned about it , they say he’s been smoking since he was 18 months old . Shockingly , his first cigarette was given to him by his own father , extremely sad indeed . What sadistic ignorant world are we living in ? What’s gonna happen next ? Cigarettes found in the womb ?
Upon questioning , Muhammad Rizal(his father) said :
“He cries and throws tantrums when we don’t let him smoke. He’s addicted.â€
