[quote] Texas GOP platform: criminalize gay marriage and ban sodomy, outlaw strip clubs and pornography

The Texas Republican Party gives a whole new meaning to the word conservative.

The GOP there has voted on a platform that would ban oral and anal sex. It also would give jail sentences to anyone who issues a marriage license to a same-sex couple (even though such licenses are already invalid in the state).

Deep breaths there Jason. It's an election year and they gotta make their voters happy and get the base excited enough to vote. Besides with the internet, how the hell do they intend to keep porn out of Texas anyways?

They'll route the interweb tubes through Texas congressional offices first. You know - for oversight.

My friend who lives in Texas was telling me they were going to criminalize possession of anything that depicts hardcore pornographic images/video, outlaw the sale of said material in a retail fashion in the state, and criminalize (via a misdemeanor offense) the sale of anything that could be considered pornographic. The only nude images allowed to be sold would be those of "artistic merit".
