As with most things which circulate the internet, I am probably the last person to hear about this site. However I thought I'd post it here in case I was only the second last:
Dihydrogen Monoxide Research Division wrote:The controversy surrounding dihydrogen monoxide has never been more widely debated, and the goal of this site is to provide an unbiased data clearinghouse and a forum for public discussion.
Explore our many Special Reports, including the DHMO FAQ, a definitive primer on the subject, plus reports on the environment, cancer, current research, and an insider exposé about the use of DHMO in the dairy industry.

in the production of beer by all the major beer distributors,
First I thought they're using it in Coca-Cola or such, but why, oh why it has to be BEER? It ain't fair, it ain't just fair.

DHMO is perfectly safe if used in moderation. While it is highly addictive (to the point where prolonged withdrawal is inevitably terminal) it is entirely possible for the circumspect DHMO junkie to die of old age. As with most drugs it's OD's or impurities that account for most of the injuries and deaths.

Of course, a DHMO apologist would show up before long. Whose payroll are YOU on, Bats?

Show me the study that proves me
wrong. :P
Besides, by all means, stop taking it. Nobody's putting a gun to your head you know.

Why do you think Ace killed me? It was over this very discussion.
I bet you're working for Coke. All their products are heavily laced with DHMO. In fact, it's practically the prime ingredient.

Somehow I doubt Ace is standing over your corpse STILL pointing than gun.
KAN, he's sick enough that he might do something like that, but Ace? I don't think so.

Of course, DHMO is the prime ingredient in
all beverages. I might be working for any of them. Valen, given that DHMO is the prime ingredient in
people I might even be working for the
Government

He's not kidding Bats, he winged me before I could explain that the part of the government I was working for was the department of defense.

Yeah, in the end I was glad I didn't doubletap you in the head after all. And you got me back last winter when you blew up my old apartment.

Man, talk about paranoid.
You do realise everybody in a public service position is technically working for the government, right? Do I take this to mean that you shoot cops and firemen on sight?
Fun pointless factoid: DHMO is one of the few substances on the market where impurities can actually increase the effect on the user.

I avoid the stuff like the plague. The only reason I ingest any at all is because it permeates just about everything these days.

Arrgh. This is old. It might work on normal people, but seriously. Many of us are scientists or nerds. That means, we won't be fooled by chemical names.
The next thing will be them banning the process of chemismotic phosphorylation. OMG it uses duhydrogen monoxide!!1!!

Bats over here police and firefighthers are not employees of the federal government, which is who he's talking about.

Oh my god! Why hasn't this been stopped yet? Why are there no outcries? Goddammit, do I have to rally people myself to get this banned? Fuck, I'm too lazy to do it. Maybe that's why there isn't any. Still this shit should be gone. I can't believe there are no outcries!

Apathy is the rule of the day. I would find it deplorable, if I could bring myself to care. *shrugs*

Stuff's perfectly harmless when used carefully, anyway. AND versatile.
Can heroine cool an engine? Can speed clean your windows? Will cocaine keep your drinks cold? DHMO can do all that and more!

Alright, last question then; would DHMO make a good mixture for lube? And what the harmful effect would be?

OK, people, I'll put this shocking conspiracy to rest. DHMO is a unique chemical developed as part of the Goa'uld's plan to finally destroy the Tauri menace. When it starts to work, it germinates a baby Goa'uld on your spine. When said Goa'uld reaches maturity...
DHMO is also responsible for all those cattle manipulations. See, young Goa'uld can't grow inside a bovine host, so they escape through the liver, fucking up the cow as they do. They then slip into the rancher once he comes to investigate. We've also got the full cooperation of the UN in this matter.
Cheers.

*coughs* Nice try. Why is it that everyone wants to attribute the cattle mutilations to their own faction? What's so sexy about butchering cows that everyone wants to claim it for their own?
The cattle mutilations are the result of Atlantean time travel experimentation. They seeded the cows of yore with marker DNA that they could lock onto in the distant past, and have been trying to pull them back in time ever since.
Shame that it sank their continent like that, though, and the resulting DHMO exposure killed most of the population.
