I got one! I got one! I got one!
In my current D&D 3.5 edition game, the characters have been damn lucky. To be fair they've backed that luck with some sneaky tactics (problem there's a Umber Hulk in that room, solution, send in war dogs to soak up the confusion gaze).
Well for a Fighter/Barbarian Dwarf named Mor the luck ran the fuck out!
Mor was a crazy person. In his time he had perfected the tactic of getting street gangsters drunk and then picking a fight with them (this peaked in the murder of the local gang leader). He led a five man team to assault a bar filled with gangsters and a pair of bounty hunters upon hearing that the underworld had posted a 600 bounty on his head (A charm person by the team bard on the half ogre fighter swung the battle convincingly their way, they ended up killing almost everyone in the bar and burning the bar down after robbing it). Why assault the bar? Because it was the only place where he could get his own wanted poster of himself.
Today hunting a Ogremagi scum for hire known only as A, Mor traveled with 6 man group to an exotic jungle island. His first brawl with a hill giant went well, (although the group had to flee the rest of the tribe who came arunning and I managed to give the group a taste of what it is like to retreat under heavy arty fire) as did his second fight with a Gambon, a large magical baboon type carnivore. He refuse all but the most basic of healing, claiming he would heal it up naturally no problems.
The Gambon had it's revenge in death!
Noting the unusual purple-blue color of the hide he and the party druid (also a dwarf) skinned the body intending to sell it upon their return to civilization. In a hurry and wanting to try and find the trail of A, which had grown cold, they did not cure the hide but rather rolled it up and kept moving. When it grew dark the party set up camp but wonders of wonders Mor didn't bring any sleeping gear, disdaining such comforts in favor of traveling light. Instead he decided to sleep in a heap with his war dogs and for extra comfort he rolled up in the very hide he had skinned from the Gambon just hours before! The rest party expressed some mild disgust at this (the cleric of Pelor being the most grossed out, with CT not far behind) and exiled him from the camp for the night, afraid the smell of such a hide in the open would attract unwelcome company.
In the 2nd watch, 4 ghouls (haunting one of several ruins on this picturesque island) showed up expecting an easy meal. Instead they found a dwarven manic and his dogs. Battle ensued, sadly the party did not awaken the watch disdained to leave the relative safety of the camp. The dogs were claimed by the paralysis of the ghoul touched. After a sea saw battle which claimed half the ghoul group, Mor hit -1 hitpoints and fell.
His torn apart corpse and gnawed upon belongs were discovered by the party druid who was closest to him. The druid prompty looted the body and gear for whatever he could used and returned to camp without a word. It wasn't until CT playing the party mage and so far sorta kinda party leader led the group out that Mor's body was officially discovered and disposed of by a party dug flame pit.
Mor's fire blackened skull is currently being carried by the party just in case something comes up.
Yeah they're an odd bunch.
Lessons I hoped the party has learned, I will take advantage if you do something stupid. I will not keep you alive despite yourselves, Karma is always waiting.

"If you want to sleep in an uncured hide in the middle of a jungle, that is fine. But you are staying at least twenty meters outside the camp and if you want, I can hang you 5 meters off the ground in a tree so that bears cant eat you"
That was so fucking funny

I still love my way of dealing with stupid people in non-combat situations. I write down the stupid thing they did, and think about how I can horribly fuck them over for their mistake later. Then maybe 4, 5, or sometimes even more sessions later I bring that mistake back, bigger and scarier than it has any right to be. One time I did this I marked the mistake on the first session of my Serenity game and then brought it back in the form of a Citadel fortress (or whatever those are called, the fucking huge ones) baring down on the crew.

Ya gotta respect the guy for making a character idea and sticking with it though. Any person who is as batshit insane as Mor was, not to mention the rape fixation... Needed to be put down for the good of everyone involved. :-P

For those wondering both Angelod and CT played alongside Mor.
