By the way, Ra is investigating the planet Yuggoth.. I mean Pluto (I've been possessed by the ghost of HP Lovecraft again...). So Dartzap, why don't you land your forces there as well?

I mean, you two can have a Ground Battle. While the battle ensues, more mysteries and plots could evolve further. Remember: the Star Destroyer did not bombard the planet for nothing. Think about Babylon Five; think about HP Lovecraft.

Probably the Goa'uld and Trollish Imperium (after a firefight, of course!) would eventually go for a brief truce and cooperate with each other in investigating Pluto? Let's go adventuring!

By the way, Ra, you have two squads of Stormtroopers and a squad of Dark Troopers on your disposal. You also have Major Irene; a Stormtrooper commander with a lot of experience. Think about Lara Croft in uniform and you know what I mean. She also had some "affairs" with Darth Kreshna some times ago so she's a little bit disturbed recently.

Ghetto edit: I got the impression that Ra is going to find something interesting, while Lord Detritus wants to capture it (or to know about it)

But what horrible secret Ra is going to find? Artifact(s)? Wall writings? Probably Yuggoth... er... Pluto was inhabited by some race that worship the Ancients?

Damn it, I know. I was actually looking forward to exploring the planet and uncovering more about the Ancient Ones, but <someone> had to attack my tiny security contingent with 10,000 FUCKING TROOPS! Sorry, but that just didn't rub me the right way.

Actually that was kinda KANS fault, Before he read my PM, which stated there were only to be 200 Troops present at your site, I said to him that my troops were spread over the whole damn planet, i was then forced to over do it, whcih was a damn annoying, because i wanted there to be some Drama in there.

Now any ideas for advancing the plot further? Anything from Cthulhu Mythos? Babylon Five?

Awright, this is my reply (finally!)
http://libriumarcana.com/phpBB2/viewtop ... rcana#1870

Now I don't believe that the Emperor built the Imperial Navy in that scale just for the Yuuzhan Vong, let alone the puny Rebels. In my imaginations, he built such massive fleets for something else... for the Ancients.

But what's the relation with the Phoenix Entity? Perhaps, Darth Kreshna has been prepared by the Emperor as "living weapon" against the Ancients (although it's a cheap idea... anyone have better ideas?)

As for the Phoenix and the Ancients; they are long time enemies. The Phoenix is life. The Phoenix is passion, and it is corrupted by emotion (in Dark Phoenix saga, it was Jean Grey's human emotion that corrupted the Phoenix Entity. Now imagine a Sith).

The Ancients, on the other hand, represent tranquility and death. I think the Ancients is some kind of very old race (like the First Ones in Babylon Five) that has some really unpleasant experience with the Phoenix, and then they resorted to such drastic measure (death in peace) to counter the Phoenix.

That was me again. I deliberately logged off to play as third party (the Ancients), but forgot to include my description

Let's not let the ancient side story distract us from the fact that my guy can die once, and Robert is supposed to take that.

Agree. I wanna' see the Borg in action!

In fact, since Lord Walper is quite powerful, the Destructionators would be a good opponent since now their power is somewhat enhanced by the Ancient Ones.

Sounds good, but...

Destructionator with Lightsaber? Now you have to explain that! :P

It would be interesting, though. Jedi has precog, while Mr. Data (he is the template of all Destructionators, isn't he?) has super-speed and the likes.

I actually figured Lord Adam, a magic weilding biological humanoid would fight him.

Most the Destructionators were lost in the big battle with the Borg when they used a virus on them. Destructionator XIII is still alive with the Trolls, and Dest. XIV and XV may be alive or not. They were on my first flagship that was destroyed by your Stardestroyers. Their fate is ambigious. I kinda figured they were alive in some holding cell on the Death Star, and I was going to rescue them sometime.

As of right now, all my characters are organic. But the Destructionator mainframe is rebuilding a force. The Data clones will be back.

I wonder which one is better in ground combat; Data clones or Borg drones? I mean without the extras like the virus, Kull Warriors, or Stormtroopers.

I would probably say Datas from canon evidence. Data is fast, drones are slow.

In Descent, pt I, we do see Data go melle with a drone, and Data wins. The real advantage that the Borg have are their adapative forcefields. Datas have nothing of the sort. Data is also more flexable, he could prone while Borg always seem to stand.

I guess it would depend on how ell the Borg can adapt to the Datas weapons. If they can't adapt, I give it to the Datas. But if they can, the Borg will win it.

Sadly, we will not be seeing that in the TGOD for at least a little bit more. My Marines are humans in powered armour. I figure they would look like the Master Chief from Halo.

But when the Destructionators are rebuilt, they will want revenge against the Borg for that damned virus. And they will stop at nothing to get it.

Just so everyone would know, the Ancient Ones' avatar (whoever he's gonna posess) will be called Khardem.

@D XV: You don't have to accept their offer to posess the knight. They'll likely find someone else to posess.

Anyway, I announced the Avvie's name because I'm trying to actually structure some of the characters around here. Here's a few I'm going to work in myself:

Srenn: Ra's First Prime, one of the best Kull Warriors. (All the Jaffa got relegated to duty as miners, slaves, and ship crew )

Khardem: The Ancient Ones' spokesman, a devious and cunning man that is superficially friendly. He also introduces biolaser technology to the A'millan, among other things.

Elnim: Captain of an ELF Trooper company. Imagine Legolas with a buzzcut and a few scars on his face.

Kar'm: One of the few Jaffa in my good graces, she's the captain of a Ha'tak. An excellent skipper, and brave. She's also no ciche "warrior race" Jaffa, and doesn't give a shit about "honor". Bombing enemies back to the stone age is her way of thinking.

"Khardem". I like the way it sounds.

These are the Imperial forces, by the way (I just did some "census" this morning while my boss ain't watching).

Admiral Hauser: The Admiral of Kreshna's personal fleet. He's a remarkably disciplined officer, although a little bit 'rigid' most of the times. Think a younger version of Ozzell.

Captain Ronald "Ron" McKenzie: A brilliant naval commander, he was one of Kreshna's drinking buddies when they were both mid officers serving under Vice Admiral Thrawn. He refused admiralty twice because he always wants to be 'close to the action'. In contrary with Hauser, he relies more on his instincts and conscience instead of procedures. Like James T. Kirk of the Federation, he is loved by his crews and respected by his enemies.

Captain Laurence Stern: A naval officer of relatively unknown backgrounds, rumors said he is also a member of the Secret Order. Nevertheless, he is the most experienced commander when it goes to covert operations.

Major Irene Patterson: A female Stormtrooper, Major Patterson was enlisted instead of cloned. Despite this, she is a skillful combatant and a martial arts instructor. She was married to (now late) Captain Victor Patterson of Imperial Navy, but rumored to have an affair with Darth Kreshna. Following her husband's death, her romance with the Sith Lord seemed to end as well.

Grand Moff Anderson: He's nothing but trouble. However, Darth Kreshna has no choice but accepting his presence aboard the Death Star. Rumors he was "planted" by the Imperial High Command to watch over the Sith Lord.

Darth Kreshna: The Sith Lord Inquisitor. A brilliant TIE Fighter pilot, Kreshna served under Vice Admiral Thrawn for some time. He soon joined the Secret Order on his early career. After rescuing the Emperor from the traitorous Admiral Zaarin, his latent Force talent was discovered and he was taken by the Emperor as an apprentice. Following the Emperor's death at Endor, Kreshna rose to the rank of Sith Lord Inquisitor. Unlike a typical Sith, Kreshna is notably eccentric.

Image
Darth Kreshna

Even before discovering his Force talent, Kreshna has been suffering from "supernatural thirst" that only satisfied by being near to dying people. He revelled as fighter pilot because there's always many deaths in a battle; the problem came whenever he's off-duty. When the Emperor took him as apprentice, he taught him to 'ignore' the thirst using the Dark Side.

However, in the early campaign of the Sol System, the long-forgotten thirst raised again, leading the events that reveal the existence of the Phoenix Entity....
