Marcao: sorry for the spell, but you're the one threatening his escape route and the one who sunk his ship. He could hardly vanish without sending something your way

On another note: I love necrotech. When I'll have time, I'll design some nasty little critters to send you. I'm a fan of the mother-zombie that flungs acid-bomb fetuses using umbilical cords as a sling. I'll strive to invent things in the same vein
No worries, I will write a post as soon as possible. I was under the impression however that nearly all spells took place in long tics, and as such you could not simply whip one out on the fly. *shrug* I will do what I can. :P

Nope, only in mass combats do spells take long ticks. Shadowlands Circle Necromancy takes a whole 5 seconds to incant.

Hot damn, I stand corrected. I should be able to post today, work spiked up and I have been getting a fair amount of training and junk over the last two weeks. :(

I just realized that Hungry Creeping Shadow can last up to one hour or until it kills its target, and is invulnerable to nonmagical attacks. That's a wicked, broken spell.

rhoenix: once your anima flares, even if you're a Night, it stays at the bonfire level for 15 minutes. It can take up to one hour and a half to dissipate.

No one interested in helping Yevela?

BTW Marcao, I know I can't ask you to prioritize a pbp game over real life, though if we could end this little combat jaunt the game could fall back to its normal pace  (at least drop some words regularily here so that I know you're still in the game, I've had players dropping out of other games on Rpol without so much as a word, and it makes me cranky... )

Yevela inflicted 4 levels of damage, and with the stunt dice accounted for you regain 1 mote.

Thankfully you shifted out of your warform... I'd have had to roll damage on that one

Academia Nut has applied for joining the game, probably to play a Zenith or Dawn caste. I'll try to make a decent introduction for his character in some time.

Awesome. Also, has Kolth found either of the parts he's searching for yet?

Which parts are you referring to? I posted that you are currently seeing the vessel at the bottom of the river, with nemissaries running away.

Also, apologies Marcao in taking so long to post, I had not seen your reply. I'll correct this shortly.

He's looking for the captain's steering wheel, and the rudder of the ship to prove that he and the others both found and sank the Black Ship.

I do hope I can fit in with all of you and you'll forgive my relative unfamiliarity with the system. I think I have the majority of the mechanics worked out, but I expect to make some mistakes.

You missed the cloud, which succeeded in its clinch and inflicted you three bashing damage. I'm waiting for LadyTevar's action before continuing to roll for the control of the clinch (you are now inactive until you regain control of the clinch, which might be a bit hard when pitting your Strength+Martial Arts against the cloud's 10-dice pool...). If Teamhair helps Kolth get out of the clinch, it will be considered limited teamwork (ie it will give Yevela a 1 die bonus to regain control of the clinch...).

I was trying to see if I had any knacks or charms that I could use to attack this cloud, since it seems only Essence hits it.

Nit's too ill right now to answer questions -- I don't even know if I can pour Essence into my fans

I don't think so, but on second thought, weapons made of the magical materials often count as "magic" for the purpose of creatures or objects that are immune to mundane attacks. I'll ask around on an Exalted board. Well, you should try to fan the cloud off his throat, in the meantime
