Methinks Darksilver didn't actually read my question.

Since I got blowed up again...

Yes, I'm using the toy as a basis.

That's Overload the Transformer. Size? Roughly equal with Bumblebee. Yes, he's tiny.

Image

And that'd be why he hauls it around. A defensive base for the group to hide behind when we inevitably attract very large guns.

If/when Breachload is again availiable, that's the other reason he hauls it around.

Since Dark Silver gave me the go-ahead this afternoon while I was gone, I make my grand entrance at last. Muhahah!

Man, Blindside has the worst luck with landing spacecraft.

EDIT: Because Cynical Cat took the unexpected step of meeting Blindside while the shuttle was still en route to its overdue appointment with the ground and high speed, I edited my previous post, and continued the conversation with him.

So, Blindside will be crashing and still be conscious! This is indeed a change from the expected.

Ok.....

so I am now faced with a slightly, small..maybe tiny dilemma , that I will leave up to the players to choose.

Basically, I am going to give you two options. You are to discuss the two options in this thread, and come to a majority conclusion.

1) The Group is sent to infiltrate Trypticon while he's still in New York, and take out him out of the equation for the foreseeable future. Part of this will be done by planting a tac-nuke next to his primary Transformation systems, while you go about causing damage elsewhere.

B) As proposed to me by frigid, you all are gonna take part in a campaign going up across the North Pole, down through Russia, and into the Armenia/Georgia peninsula and attack the Iranian Shipyards. The goal, try to steal the incomplete Nemesis and blow the fuck outta the other ships in the drydock under construction.

Discuss and come to a majority conclusion my minions.

Well, I look at it like this. The Decepticons are not encountering any resistance on the Asian front. A large enough distraction on another front will weaken that front further. We need the Nemesis out of the picture before it and it's fleet are up, or Game Over.

Trypticon, on the other hand, is so big not even Overshock, were he possible, to do damage to. Sure, if we get inside, we're fine. It's getting that close when the Decepticons are already massing a spearhead for assault that's the issue.

So, seeing as my how my reasoning facilities are still intact apparently I see both ideas as nigh suicidal.

Lets see here, one we face Trypticon who is going to wipe the floor with us, assuming there's enough of us left to make a make-shift mop to begin with.

The other we try a hair-brained scheme to attack the shipyards, which are probably guarded fairly well with 4 fliers capable of doing anything noteworthy and the rest ground troops. Yes, lets go with this option...

I think Slipstream is just going to go recon Trypticon and just be done with it and flee back to the Ark where it's nice and safe and sound...

Trypticon is bad. The Nemesis is worse.

We don't have the forces or resources to do both at once that I know of, as not very many Autobots are good at doing the sneaky spec-ops stuff. However, both issues need to be dealt with.

Assaulting either one, successfully or not, will put the forces within and around the other on high alert, making it much more difficult to perform successive strikes - on the other hand, I don't think the Decepticons would expect an attack on the second problem because of this, which can be used to the Autobots' advantage.

I say we assault and steal the Nemesis first, and then immediately sabotage (at least) Trypticon. If it's possible, Robo-smashing Trypticon into an Autobot might be even better.

Nemesis, for the following reasons:

1) Prime and the rest will be dealing with Trypticon. With Nemesis we'll be running the show, with Trypticon it is all too easy for us to end up watching the Autobot heroes save the day.

2) We need to hurt the Decepticons and undermine their massive numerical and material advantage.

3) Nemesis is a ludicrously bold attack backed by some intelligent planning. This is the heart of kickass RP adventures.

4) Having frigid lead us in a military action will be really fucking cool.

I agree, and I would go further to say that not only do we need to embark on a Nemesis-jacking mission, but we need to utterly smash all other ships there, as well as all the infrastructure of the shipyard.

For obvious reasons, a full frontal assault won't work, but a smallish bold crew can get in, plant all the bombs, take out the guards, and steal the Nemesis before the bombs go off en masse.

And I still hold that both ideas are so monumentally suicidal that you should all be treated for depression. Somehow, I feel that either route we choose, we're boned.

Either choice is bad, and likely overly dangerous, yes.

However, not choosing one of those two is likely much, much worse.

May fortune favor the bold.

Nemesis. Sounds more fun and at least it isn't completed yet.

And fuck yeah we're suicidal.

EDIT: On a sidenote, I'm in Colorado right now, and my access to the internet is limited, so I probably won't be posting until at least 12 o'clock EST most nights until Friday.

It would take Blindside a few hours to get to the Ark, right?

So we should all be repaired or mostly so, right?

Do we want to start from there?

TeamhairTahal: Posted.
And for the reference... one comic had Optimus wearing mudflaps with Elita-1's sillouette on them
TeamhairTahal: So, until further notice, whenever Stryke transforms his rear fender will have a sillouette of Crimson
TeamhairTahal: In Neon Pink
magithis: Ow.

Charon, what the hell? Did you just triple your already massive firepower or did I hallucinate?

To my robot form, I really just added the missiles. The cannon is just double-barreled now, doesn't really add power to that. And I'm no more armored than I was before, I just look shiny and new as opposed to old and beat-up.

My alt. form... yeah, there's a lot more firepower there. But considering that before I was a non-mobile form with only one big gun, it's not hard to add more to that.

So you added two big missile racks and now have twice the cannon firepower. So that would be a "yes".
