They could. They could also equip all their space marines with jetpacks and lascannons, and not be a bunch of ass-backwards fundamentalists. 10 m/s for about one centi-second is not that much of a weakness.

It's the sodding Emperor. There's no shame in getting owned.

If you guys could refrain from wiping each other out for half an hour, I'll be able to join the fray.

To be honest, they don't really want to kill Gix. They want to rescue the other eldar (for my nefarious plot related purpouses) hence why they're here in such strength. Now that Gix has had his warning, the plan is to knock him out, give him a wedgie, and go.

A little explosion to get your attention, an assassination attempt (which they would have liked to have pulled off) and a warning of why you should just give up the crusade. If you mon-keigh scum don't start behaving better now, you can expect more direct action from them in the future.

Necron, it looks like you've started a trend with that boarding torpedo bit. This is your fault.

I was going to teleport, but see here:
The Necrontyr Messenger wrote:It doesn't matter... Though if you ever do that again, I will get out the old Slaves of Darkness tables and start rolling for your secondary-player-characters.

In fact, I may do that at any time you use teleporters, just out of spite towards you.
Plus, entering a ship via a torpedo is just fucking cool.

Question for PCM. Does pater have NBC protection at the moment?

Same question to the cat, for Jolan, too, now I think about it...

And now, I must go to watch stargate. Be back later.

PS: I reccommend that Pater run like hell. But then, I'm a coward.

Okay, so Pater's arrogant. He's an INQUISITOR. It comes with the job.

In case you're wondering, Pater's not far from Gix, on the deck below. The group he's engaging are attempting to go around to rescue the target, while the Shadowseer and Great Harlequin go for the direct route through Gix.

Oh, aye:

I wouldn't really call Lena a lover per se. I certainly wouldn't say they've ever slept together.

Ironically, the insult in one of Cat's fics, about Lena being a lesbian, isn't too far out, after a fashion.

Okay, now's the time to retroactively give Pater the ability to run under these circumstances.

Fair enough, it'll probably take a while to get to the Gate anyway. Nitram and I can write a zany conversation.

"So, how did you become an Inquisitor?"

"My potential was discovered when I caused my father's assassain to explosively combust."

"Marvellous, marvellous. Are you okay? You're swaying a little."

"For a moment I thought I'd had too many combat stims, but the pink elephants assure me it's fine."

Jolan has filters in his lungs as a result of the rebuild after the assassination attempt.
