By the way, did you miss my post several days ago? About some business representatives from Sienar Fleet System, Golan Arms, & Rendili Stardrive went to Goa'uld space to negotiate with Ba'al? Goa'uld-Contra, anyone?

Well, the Imp representatives went to Baal several days ago. They could still have the negotiation off-screen.

The thing is, that maybe now Baal is more powerufl, having stuff like Turbolaser or such.

Dude, he has two Mark IX's. That ain't powerful ENOUGH? Anyway, during Baal's stay on Earth, he got a lot of corporate connections. One of these... will have a major impact on the sequel.

Well, you may still add Sienar Fleet System connections to make it consistent with my post (let's pretend they had negotiations off-screen).

Yeah, I'll keep it consistant. But how would this affect the battle? I don't see it having an effect whatsoever.

Bigger firepower, turbolasers, Imperial-grade shields, etc. Well it doesn't have affect the battle now. I don't know what your plan with Baal, but he's probably the most powerful Goa'uld Lord now (weapon-wise). However, you're still the good guy.

I'm seriously thinking of making a fanfic involving my character I created for the STGOD, taking place after the "death" of the Collective in the STGOD and Lord Walper's sendoff in the Imperial coffin.

However, the plot ideas I find myself thinking about would probably be quite the "wanking" as some would put it. :wink:

I'd be fine with this, but I've already been called for wanking things a bit.

That, and I have naquada-enhanced nukes that are on par with lower-end Imp turbolasers anyway, and I've got my own Imperial ships being pumped out by the WD.

But, I don't have a problem with it.

Now, about the future of my empire. I haven't really stated it yet, but let's face it; the Guardians went apeshit on a minor power. Despite Haldir's optimism, I basically won't have much infrastructure left to go back to.

For the sequel, my future ventures will probably be doing corporate sneaking around on Earth (with Nod) and in the Empire. Basically like Baal 2.0. And speaking of Baal, he'll be back in that arena as well.

Actually, that could lead to some very intriguing TGOD'ing and writing possibilities in the future. :smile:

Not really.

I view 'wanking' as something related to storytelling as much as power figures. Yes, Baal can have some turbolaser or two, but mind you, his tech-enhanced Goa'uld faction is still way below the Empire.

Think about real world. Yes, Malaysia has Mig-29, and Indonesia has SU-27, but both countries are still pawned by CIS.

So yes, Ba'al can have weapon/shield enhancements (which would further lead to Goa'uld-Contra scandal), but as long as you do the storytelling in reasonabe way (suspension of disbelief, real-world consideration, and such), it is not wanking.

Galadriel's Force messup with Unicron, on the other hand, is wanking :wink: Yes, Mace Windu could bend steel and such, and maybe other Jedi too.... to some extents. Remember that space battles happen in the range of multiple kilometers, if not hundreds. It is a little bit hard to suspend disbelief when Galadriel easily disables Unicron from THAT range; not to mention it should take a much more amount of steel to be bent/deformed to disable a robot of THAT size.

Also, she ain't no robotic engineer. How does she know which components are Unicron vital system?

Yes, Unicron can still be beaten, but I hope to see it done in more believable (although mundane) ways. Perhaps in a massive bombardment? Perhaps by the Death Star's superlaser? But does it make an exciting, suspenseful story if the Death Star merely pops up, fires its superlaser, and the battle ends? See that's why left the Death Star behind; still travelling through hyperspace because it cannot keep up with the rest of the fleet. It is also reasonable because Death Star's hyperdrive is rated slower than those of the capships.

And I disagree with you that our STGOD will meet a premature death. Come on, we're having an epic space battle here!! And no, even if A'millan homeworld is eventually destroyed (we don't know yet, it depends on the result of the battle), it is not the end of STGOD. Lord and Lady Adam can evacuate themselves and the people (at least some of them), becoming royal family in refuge while fighting a guerilla warfare alongside the Army of Lights.

In fact, if A'millan Prime is destroyed, that would give some real motivations for Lord and Lady Adam to enact revenge.

I have a tip for Allen too: yes, the Archmagus is powerful, and that's why his involvement should be subtle. In fact, it should be subtler than you have already posted. A good story is a story where the warring parties are kind of balanced to some extent. See, that's why I introduced the Guardians on the first place; to balance things up because the Empire is simply too powerful for other factions.

That's also why I mostly limit Darth Kreshna's display of power; making plot devices like his insanity and emotional block and such. Why? Because the Phoenix will simply toast 'lesser superpower beings' like Galadriel or Lord Adam; a one-sided battle does not make an exciting story. If one being is simply too powerful, I guess we should invent certain (but reasonable) plot devices to keep the omnipotent being from easily toasting the others.

You read correctly. The Lord and Lady were scooped up and fled, and my fleets are now covering the evac of the planet. I'm afraid the battle is over, but the war has just begun.

Unless the Death Star would care to commence primary ignition and turn the tables.

Well, this is still a game after all. I don't know how the result would be, it will depend on the battle between you guys and Allen; your battle maneuvers, your tactics, etc. You know, just like the battles we had during the early phase of this STGOD (before Darth Kreshna went to Dathomir; see Chapter 1). Yes, the battle was spontaenous, reasonable, and exciting. And the way I see it, most people ast that time were giving their opponent an opportunity to respond (not destroying them outright), so it was a battle of cunning maneuvers.

I hope this one battle we have would be like that one. I guess things are pretty balanced; the Guardian is powerful, but now they're facing various factions (Goa'ulds, A'millans, Trollish, and Darth Kreshna's faction). Remember the huge battle in Babylon Five, where various factions under Sheridan's leadership were facing the Shadow?

Again, I don't know yet the outcome of our battle. There's a lot of possibilities:
(1) The Death Star destroys Unicron, and A'millan Prime is saved (major victory for the Army of Lights).
(2) The Death Star destroys Unicron, but not before it devours A'millan Prime (lose-lose situation).
(3) The Death Star fails to destroy Unicron, but A'millan Prime is saved because Unicron flees (kinda bit of stalemate).
(4) The Death Star fails to destroy Unicron, and A'millan Prime is devoured (major victory for the Guardians).

And remember; it depends on how we play the battle!

EDIT: remember we're on the middle of A FREAKING BATTLE!!! Yes, you can have a meeting aboard the Genator II and the likes, but don't forget to actually maneuver your ships! You know, like we had during the Chapter One of the STGOD.

Right now, the A'millans are busy evacuation A'millan Prime, while Unicron is going to devour the planet. The Death Star, on the other hand, is still traversing around A'millan Prime to get a clear shot on Unicron without destroying the planet itself (like in the battle of Yavin).

Allen, where are you? I guess the Guardians should react. Will the Guardians send their 'Shog-Oth fighters' to disrupt the planetary evacuation? Or trying to stop the Death Star by firing an 'organic torpedo' on its exhaust port? While Darth Kreshna jumps into his TIE V-38 to stop the Shog-Oth fighters? And how the Guardian handles the Goa'uld, Trollish, and A'millan ships, as well as Darth Kreshna's ships?

Not sure what little tricks he will bring. Though i expect most of them will involve the words "boom" and "bang" and "implosion" :razz:

We still need Allen, though. We need the enemy to fire upon us! :wink:

By the way, Jon, I got the impression that Ra's ships were jumping out of hyperspace following the Genator II, replaced by Baal ships; hence my latest post. Am I correct?

No, the Goa'uld were moving with the Genator II, jumping back to the battle to show the Guardians who their daddies are. Baal and Ra went in the fleet together with their combined forces. The Goa'uld remaining over the planet were there already, part of Ra's force that stayed behind after we fled to the Ragnar Station wannabe. And fracking A'millian Prime has only 30,000 people on it, they evaced ages ago.

If anyone's curious about what Sandra has in mind...
-----------------------------

Aurora-class

The Aurora-class attack ship was designed in secret as a combat vessel to aid the A'millian Star Empire and Goa'uld System Lords in their war efforts. The Aurora was designed and built with the personal fortune of KDY's chief executive, Sandra Kuat, under complete secrecy.

Working on the secret Aurora project were employees from KDY and Sienar Fleet Systems, under no connection whatsoever to their actual employers, ouside of Kuat herself, and several visionary members of SFS's Board of Directors. With the help of Kuat, the Aurora's design schematics were provided to Ra and Lord Adam for fabrication.

Unlike many Imperial designs, the Aurora is small and highly sophisticated, and fabrication of the starship is anything but easy for the younger powers. Sienar engineers have to be on hand in order to assist with construction, and help with building the ship's highly advanced and sensitive systems.

The Aurora is fast, and posesses a top of the line Imperial hyperdrive unit, as well as high-powered turbolasers and ion cannons. The hull itself is based on that of corporate picket ships operated by SFS to defend its yards from pirate attack, but is highly modified; the two vessels share little else in common.

The Aurora's greatest advantage over other Imperial capital ships is her high sublight acceleration and maneuverability, as is the case with many Sienar designs. With her two heavy turbolaser turrets, the Aurora is also capable of gunning it out with larger warships, but she is mainly best used against Guardian scouts and fighters. Her shields will not usually withstand long bombardment from a cruiser.

Length: 600 meters
Width: 150 meters
Armament:
* Two heavy turbolaser turrets
* Two light ion cannons
* Four medium turbolasers
* Twelve automated PDS lasers
Allegiance:
* Imperial (SFS Corporate Defense Force)
* A'millian Star Empire
* Goa'uld

Alright, we're about to do a starfighter scene. If Adam and Dartzap are interested, let's do it!

Kresh's TIE, my Death Glider... I guess Dart gets a Trollish interceptor and Adam gets a Peregrin equivilant. C'mon, folks, this'll be a blast. :smile:
