*Googles 'Bureau 13*
Ah.
So, out of two game references B4's made so far, one's a nearly straight rip of Deus Ex's opening conversation and the other's a cleverly hidden title to a game that was out before I was born. Props for variety, at least.

Cleverly hidden? *laughs* Bureau 13 was a secret organization to hunt the meta-physical... a true MiB that dealt with mostly supernaturals, but it could have been expanded/substituted for Metas in this world.
It makes a lot of sense to have Tarot and possibly Blackheart in that Bureau.

Hey, I never made claims at any originality here. Trying to establish new superhero things is very difficult thanks to the megacompanies like DC, Marvel, etc.
I will admit to blatently ripping off cool bits and pieces from places and warping them into my own devices. And no, I actually have a copy of the game floating around somewhere. I think I even have it in ebook rpg format if you'd like a copy.

Haven't played, but I've read a few of the novels.LadyTevar wrote:Bureau 13.
And I the ONLY one who's actually played that game?
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Well.. if I could get DS in gear, Saibot and Argent would be back in town. *sigh*
Then again, if you're sleeping in the park.. *looks to Legacies, the bum*

Lol... He's still at the bar I believe. I think it's safe to say Cam/Em is going to be a little bit weary of teleporting for a while.

I'm really really sorry that I've been rather gone for extended period of times for the last month. But for the next few weeks I will not go missing for 3 or 4 days at a time.

By the bye, what's the policy on Blast and arcane energy? Can he suck it in like electrity and others or is to different and hurts him?

Consider that AJ could shrug off all of our attacks.

If it's any consolation. A.J. could likely beat the tar out of Legacies. Of course, that's what happens when all of your attacks are kinetic based.

Not the energy blasts, my friend. Plus, Saibot's sword could still cut him- Just not through momentum alone.frigidmagi wrote:Consider that AJ could shrug off all of our attacks.
I know it doesn't follow the laws of physics, but Blackheart's got a space wasp in his chest, Argent's the daughter of a demon...

SHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
That's a SECRET!
Truth be told, out of everyone here, even Gravitas, Argent is the one with the strongest power. RPed correctly, she could cause each one of you such deep depression and hopelessness you'd willingly commit suicide just to escape the pain.

Yeah. But the problem would be breaking into the minds and emotions of people like Blackheart (Who we have seen go berserker psycho rage), Saibot (Willpower to the max yo!) and Legacies (The guy who kicked the Astronomer out of his head).

Which is why it would be a matter of RP. She would have to find and feed the one fear/pain/despair that resides in the hidden back of their nightmares.

A.J. has some defense against mindfuckery, since he spent most of his prepubsecent life near Em and thusly learned some tricks re keeping one's mind to oneself.Charon wrote:Yeah. Telepathy and Empathy are two seperate beasts, hon. Emotions are not ran off the mind.. it's a mix of impulses, chemical and electrical. Telepathy is purely mental.

As you have seen, I have a lot of raw power, but there is an inherent weakness. Avatar's mind is just this side of reptilian when in his hybrid form. He has a hell of a willpower when it comes to normal things (you try convincing a crocodile not to bite you...) but it is easy to 'manually' manipulate his emotions.
As we have seen, he is BONED against argent.
