Just a reminder, barring disaster, it's EP this Monday.

I'm sorry to do this for the second time running, but I'm afraid I have a prior engagement on Monday that I cannot avoid, and therefore I cannot attend the game in question.

Eclipse Phase this week, unless we have a particularly large number of absentees, in which case it will be Stargate.
#80 Re: Eclipse Phase: Breaking Light
So far we have lost:
CynCat
Havoc
ComradeTortise
and likely Karrick.
That's roughly half the team, so most likely I will prep for Stargate Shenanigans. Probably for the best, Roll20 had a big update today.

I may or may not be available. Dentist appointment. May be high as a kite.

We're gameless for way-too-close-to-Holiday days anyway, so just as well.

Game Monday, be there or be uploaded into a spare.
#84 Re: Eclipse Phase: Breaking Light
I'm going to be about an hour late, but shouldn't be more than that unless unexpected traffic.

Once again I'll be an hour late, albeit for entirely different reasons, it just worked out that way. If the group happens to require an infiltration specialist before I'm there, the sneakiest bastard among you has my permission to control Blackjack in my stead. Given Hotfoot's the GM, I guess that means it's Cynical Cat's job.

Something to help everyone get on the same page as to what's been happening so far in the game, I wrote up a basic report on the events thus far for everyone over on obsidian portal, visible here.
#87 Re: Eclipse Phase: Breaking Light
I'm really not feeling up to the game tonight. Screwed up schedules and a cold have left me pretty much spent. Sorry folks :(

I'm likely to be about half an hour late due to family obligations

Well Karrick, your absence killed Captain Sterling, I hope you're happy!
#90 Re: Eclipse Phase: Breaking Light
Now, now, let's not be hasty, by the end of next session it could turn out his absence killed everyone.

Our tactical situation could be worse. It could be raining. As it is we are fighting on a beautiful sunny Martian day.

Doesn't inclement weather tend to the benefit of commando units? Which is what we functionally are? Also, if Karem hadn't been spotted due to rain, our tactical situation would be better by an order of magnitude.
Another thing that would have improved our tactical situation by an order of magnitude: the rules. Turns out that a chameleon cloak/coating makes you invisible so long as you're stationary or moving no faster than a slow walk. The bonus to Infiltrate only comes into play if you want to move faster. In other words, it's all Karem's fault for being impatient and walking too fast!
It's great things turned out the way they did though, this shit's hilarious, and if we don't all die horribly we can totally brag about how the 9 of us charged a prepared position that had us outnumbered 10-1! ^_^
Also, how much Rez did we get? 3? 4? 100!?

It's Kerem. I may have to start charging people who can't get it right the cost of replacing their current body. And we didn't get Rez yet because mid combat.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.
#94 Re: Eclipse Phase: Breaking Light
Kerem and Karem sound about the same, but Karem looks more feminine, and I'm having trouble thinking of a big amazon in male terms. Tell you what, we'll compromise: I'll write it Kerem but prounce it Karem.
Oh okay, no Rez given, just checking I didn't forget it on my sheet.

Invisibility also doesn't apply to the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Somehow I think the sharpshooters on overwatch for the Blue Dawn have more than the Mk-1 Eyeball at their disposal.

Sarcasm.Doesn't inclement weather tend to the benefit of commando units? Which is what we functionally are? Also, if Karem hadn't been spotted due to rain, our tactical situation would be better by an order of magnitude.
Also I don't know why you're harping on the cloak. Kerem wasn't wearing one.
As for me, I assume the Turk simply got more used to operating in urban environments. This assumption is upheld by the fact that ever time we're in a city, Kerem goes off and gets all manner of work done while most of us thrash around and make noise. This certainly doesn't reflect ill on him... her?, she (he? how does the pronoun work? I mean from what I understand the ego is male but the morph is not) is a bounty hunter and frankly from what I can tell you'll find more bounties in a large corrupt city.

Ah, but you see, his armour has the same functions of one, same as mine. It's a very nifty feature! You should look into it, Marshall's actually the best sneak in the team. I was surprised, which is why I asked about it Monday, but he is. Which is great because we could do three person infiltrations! Blackjack, Marshall, and Kerem, wouldn't that be fun? ^_^Also I don't know why you're harping on the cloak. Kerem wasn't wearing one.
Sure, both x-ray and radar emitters bypass chameleon and invisibility cloaking, but we would also have likely noticed that they'd gone active on scanners. It'd be like someone turning on a spotlight at night, not exactly subtle.White Haven wrote:Invisibility also doesn't apply to the entire electromagnetic spectrum. Regardless, the point is that this could have been avoided, but it wasn't, and it's glorious. If even one of us survives, our entire team will have bragging rights like unto the gods themselves. That's something to get excited about! There'll be other chances to be so sneaky and smooth we take down a bunch of bad guys before they even know we're there. ^_^

Rhoenix, I need you to do a full spread on where you get your attribute numbers. You're in an exalt, so that means that you are benefiting from a morph bonus on several attributes, which factors in to skills.
