Obviously then, you've nothing stopping you from reaching your intended targets, till you get to those targets.
The Bridge is being guarded by Lugnut, and two other Decepticons.
Both of these Decepticons are "standard" Decepticon Infantry models, one is armed with a Thermal rifle, the other a ion blaster. Lugnut himself is as stated in his bio in the resource thread.
Meltdown is a Heavy Infantry style Decepticon, alt mode of a assault tank. His two Decepticons, one is a Light Decepticon, the other another regular decepticon. Meltdown is a atypical Heavy, aside from being a slightly insane and a bit more heavily armored as fitting a "Command" position. His thermal rifle is basically a high powered heat gun, not instantanously slag making, but will put a hurting on armor. The other two, one is armed with a Gyro destabilizer pistol, the other with a concussion laser.
Lead up to Engineering is a long hallway, about 3 Cybertronian's wide (standing side by side), with enough room for even the largest standard Transformer to move comfortably.
The Bridge: sits at the topmost desk, middle of the ship. There's not going to be any internal defenses active yet, so the run will be uneventful, until you get to the level just below the bridge, and the hall which will lead you to it. The two standard model Decepticons will have made a barricade there, so they can have something to hide behind. It's a flimsy barricade, made out of scrap, so it'll be relatively easy to take out. There's a series of fall back positions though the entire hall leading back to the bridge doors, and within the bridge is Lugnut himself. Hallway leading to the bridge is around 2.5 Cybertronian's wide, and tall enough to let any Decepticon of Large size or smaller through in comfort.

Alright, I restated DS's post a bit for flavor, showing things from Firetrack's view.
One down, two to go for our group. They're already in stasis lock, they just didn't get the memo yet.

Seriously!
Pity about Meltdown's rifle though - Firetrack was looking to loot that. He'll just have to console himself with another exciting episode of Stabbing Stuff Repeatedly And Often with your host, Firetrack.

Name: Simba
Faction: Autobots
Function: Long Range Air To Air Interception
Quote: "ROAR! For Freedom!"
Tech Specs:
Strength 3
Endurance 3
Agility 9
Intelligence 7
Skill 2
Firepower 6
Alternate Form: IAI Kfir-C8 Jet Fighter
Profile
Personality: Created on Cybertron during the First Great Cybertronian War, Simba was a bot born to be a warrior/lover. Created along side a very similar bot Gendelen, they were a great wing pair, and true lovers. They loved each other with a heart previously unknown to Cybertronians. But then came a sneak attack by Megatron. Megatron personally tore his love to shreds after hours of torture. For awhile he degraded to blithering and crying in the corner but now a bit of a raving anti-Decepticon maniac, Simba has come through and become a great pilot for the Cybertronian people.
Abilities / Weapons:
2 Gattling 30mm Laser Cannons
Hardpoints for up to 10 Air To Air Missiles
Weaknesses
Merits
Anti-Gravity / Flight systems: Allow flight in both forms, with about 200 mph being average in bot form and Mach 2.85 to be maximum in Jet Form. With the manuvering jets synched around his body he is exteremly manuverable, capable of turning on a dime at mach 2.5. (-2 point merit)
Flaws
Aggressive: Very aggressive and seeing oppurtunity for vengance upon the decepticons for destroying the Autobot of his life, the spark of his eye Gendelen. (+1 point flaw)
Reckless: Extremely recless in combat and cares little for himself, only for inflicting vengance upon the Decepticon race as a whole which he blames for the destruction of his Gendelen.

I informed him to post the sheet on the thread, it's not complete yet (obviously) but I figured everyone assisting him on the sheet would be better than just myself...

Alright, my thoughts - take them for what they're worth.
- As a craft meant for long-range air to air strikes, Simba has only missiles with which to strike at long range - this doesn't make sense. Perhaps replace the gatling lasers (meant for much closer work) with railguns.
- The anti-grav & maneuvering thrusters are a pretty special thing that Firetrack (and Slipstream) have, being military forms, particularly for dogfighting at close range. As a long-range air to air striker, I could see the use for the anti-grav, but not the maneuvering jets. I'd say reduce this to a 1 point merit (for anti-gravity engines only), and move that point somewhere else.
- Not to give an ego-based nitpick, but Simba's faster than Firetrack (along with everyone else but Slingshot, it seems
). I don't have a problem with Simba being faster than Firetrack, but I'd like to know why as a long-range air sniper he'd need the extra speed.
- Having both Reckless and Aggressive flaws pretty much means you might be making a new character soon - I can almost hear DS giggling at the thought now. You might want to drop one of them.
As an example, there's a reason Firetrack has the flaw Reckless, and I'm writing story reasons for his newfound bloodlust in combat - but I won't be taking the flaw for the latter, since that's fun angst story stuff.
- The design of Simba's alt-form doesn't make sense as a long-range sniper, honestly. My recommendation - make him bigger (maybe a C-130, even), and made to snipe at both ground and air targets from long range. That would fulfill what you appeared to be wanting for him, and being made of Cybertronian tech, that C-130 would likely be supersonic anyway. He wouldn't be as maneuverable, since his whole design's point is to destroy oncoming targets before they get within firing range - essentially, a flying tank. An example: ( here ).
Now, those suggestions aside, Havoc, B4, and I worked out a sort of air structure that we were all happy with when B4, and then myself were making flyers. Havoc has the small, fast scout role down, Firetrack has the dogfighting at melee/close/medium ranges role down, and when B4 was active with Slipstream, he handled the aspects of an air superiority role well.
What roles we seem to lack right now in terms of air support are:
- heavy fighter (Deathstrike, played by Cyncat some time ago somewhat filled this role before he left the game by virtue of having a frighteningly strong X-ray laser as his only gun in both forms, but he wasn't especially versatile - just crafty)
- stealth ship (Firetrack almost was one, but it didn't fit his personality as it became, and I didn't have enough points - but there's still need for a good stealth craft)
- air/space superiority (B4's gone inactive as Slipstream, having another would be useful)
- bomber (Marcao, when he was playing, played a character with an alt-form of a B2 Spirit bomber, which looked to be damn useful in the time he was active, especially because his character had two drones which copied the actions he wanted them to - like dropping a shitload of bombs)
There, I hope that helped you, since that turned into an essay without me intending it to.

To be perfectly honest, I'm sick of seeing Autobot Flyer PC's. The Autobots had a excessively limited Air Force compared to the Decepticons, and as it stands, I keep seeing every other new PC want to be a god damn flying machine of death destruction and utter pwnage.
If it were up to me, I'd veto the character just on the fact it's another damn plane-o '-dewm.
But we'll see what the other players say.

I think you already have your answer, DS. ![Wink ](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
With that in mind - Jason, might I suggest a tank as your character's alt-form?

I know it's absurd of me to keep lecturing people who post here with jet-bots given that I play a Jet-bot myself, but given who the Jet-bot I play is, I don't feel particularly bad in saying that this doesn't look particularly workable. You want a jet that is simultaneously extremely long range and extremely well armed, and you fall into the case of having flaws that are secretly merits. Yes yes, I know that people take "Aggressive" and "reckless" as 'flaws', but in reality they exist as excuses for people to go into berserker rages and become even more dangerous. We all know that.
My vote is no, not until there's some balancing aspect added in, flaws that are real flaws, weaknesses that are real weaknesses.

DS, even though you didn't mention specific damage, I'm going to say that blast took out Firetrack's anti-grav unit - so, no flying in bot form for him until he gets home.

Man what the fuck ever happened to Autobots that weren't...
FUCKING ENGINES OF DESTRUCTION!
Jesus fucking christ there were what, two fucking guys whos alt. forms were weapons of war of some form or another in the cartoon?
And don't point at me and go "But you're a weapon of war!" Because I was one of the first freaking people who did it (aside from I think Cat, who started as a Decepticon anyway).
Hell, if Shellshock ever bites it I'm planning on a character who is a freaking pacifist and whose alt. form is a schoolbus. But seriously, the weapons of war characters need to quit for awhile.

This sheet is also a no.Name: 'Hog
Alt Form: A-10A Warthog
Faction: Autobots
Function: Air To Ground Support
Quote: "Ground pounders eat my lead."
Tech Specs:
Strength 2
Endurance 8
Agility 2
Intelligence 4
Skill 7
Firepower 7
Profile
Personality: Like 2 bots in one, Hog is two main personalities. In his Alt form he is supremely confident, talking trash to the Decepticons as he blows them off the face of Cybertron, but in his Bot form, he is a coward, pure and simple, a paranoid coward. The first sign of melee combat breaking out in Bot Form and he will run away.
Inside he feels conflicted between the two sides of him and really wants to just figure out a way that he can try and make it better, he has made few friends in bot form because of his cowardice but in Alt Form, he is one of the bravest bots you will ever see.
Abilities / Weapons
Experimental 60mm Flechette Auto-Railgun: Runs the entire length of the chasis in Alt form, with impressive range and penetration power. Not useable in bot form. ROF of 1 round every .25 seconds or single shot.
8x Heavy Bomb/Missile clamps
2x Light Gattling Wing Tip Lasers (Tips of the wings for dogfighting {almost as weak as Hornets guns} and wrist blasters in bot form)
Weaknesses
Very Aggressive but lacks skill at Melee Combat. He is a long range sniper and very good at it.
Merits
OTH Sensors
Honorable
Flaws
Fear of Melee Combat/Dislike of bot form
Experimental Weapon: 60mm Flechette Auto-Rail Cannon: Overheats if fired on auto for too long a time. (if fired for more than 7 seconds at a time without allowing an equal amount of cooldown, the metal has a nasty habit of melting the bullets before they're fired, causing them to fuse inside the barrel)
Main Gun Not availiable in bot form
I already said I had enough of Autobot flyers, already the group has two flyers. they do NOT need another one.
2) your "Rapid fire railgun" for the main weapon, is a hell no. Rail guns do not rapid fire. Railguns are massive destructive fucking weapons, even in their teeny forms. You do not get a gun that'll let you make 1/2 mile craters as you strafe the ground.
Redesign.
And no flyers.

Hound MIGHT be one, because he was a military jeep with a machine gun on him.
That was it.
Unless you count Omega Supreme.

You know the irony. My original design for Hornet, way back in the day, was a police helicopter. I only switched to a fighter jet because someone else in that old game had already selected a chopper as their character, and someone suggested it.
Gaze upon my works, ye mighty, and despair...

Hotfoot: "Yes, which is reasonable."

Overload is a war design. I'll be honest about that.
