#1 STGOD 4 Sequel

I've been thinking it might be fun to start a sequel to STGOD 4. It's clear the current SDnet iteration isn't going anywhere. Would anyone be interested? I was thinking something set 50 years after the previous iteration; with the Ousters decisively wiped out over the course of 20 years of warfare. I imagined playing a Floater state divided and weakened, with many Floaters living in reservations under the control of Terrestrial and Accord powers, and the surviving Free Republics only loosely united and demographically depleted.
Any thoughts?

We have less players here than on SDN, and you think it will work here?
Give up.

Considering 50 years later massive tracts of space would have been stripmined by the Overseer in it's perpetual war with everyone but the Ousters and Vampires, and the Vampires have plunged a new era of night across worlds conquered by the machine menace, I doubt it'd work.

I'd be up for it, but I doubt we'd be able to make it work. Especially given that nobody really knows how it would have all ended; the game kind of stopped in the middle of the war.

Oh god, don't start this all over again. I've had enough of the what-if wars, thank you.

I have no intention of playing a what-if game here; I'm stating that we just don't know how it would have turned out.
I know how it probably would have turned out, but there's any number of factors that simply can't be accounted for.

Rogue, shut the fuck up. Honestly, you make excuses each time it's brought up, and these appeals to your own ignorance don't amuse. No. Now go away and find something else to bitch about.

Uh huh. Listen, Nitram. You know how it was going as well as I do; my fleets were all still intact, the Accord was in pristine condition and none too happy with what was going on, and Monacora and all it's allies would have turned the instant the Overseer's survival became apparent. You have absolutely no grounds to assume the outcome was certain. Could I have turned the war around by myself? Fuck no, but Stormbringer's grandstanding to the contrary I was a few posts from crushing his assault fleet and no one else was in a position to immediately press the advantage. I know you're proud of your grand illusion, and it was impressive, but it's ultimate success was not a guaranteed sure thing and you know it.
I don't want to argue the minutiae. The game's over, it's been over for years, and there's precious little point to it anymore, but I am sick and motherfucking tired of you coming down on me every goddamned time I open my mouth. No matter how much you wank over the supposedly inevitable Overseer victory, it just didn't happen and wasn't yet bound to happen.

Children, please take the bitching about a dead game back to the forum it came from. Thank you.
