OOC thread for STGOD 2.
New STGOD Ruleset thread will keep the rules.
Mods are myself, Hadri, and frigid - alternate mods are Charon and, well, I'll let Frig pick the other one.
In-game "time progression" will not commence for 2 weeks to give everyone time to get college classes done and to get info put together, but the IC thread is up so that those who have a creative itch can scratch it as people finish their final exams and get their OrBats. First quarter budgets, orders, and build queues will also be due in 2 weeks. You may post them publicly if you desire or you may PM them to a mod.

And mine is taking its customary sweet time, as naming 40ish Legions and dozens of ships in a dead language is not the sort of thing done overnight.

Mine is mostly up, but I still need to finish positioning the last scraps of Active Duty troops and the reserves. If I want to be accurate it's... well, kind of tricky.
I'll have it this weekend.

Who is the North America Mod?

I am the America moderator, on account of being the only person in the mod list with no interest in that hemisphere whatsoever.

Since my sphere of interest butts up against both Hadrianvs's Mongols and Steve's Pacificans, who would I go to on issues like this?

I'll try to get a proper story post up tomorrow, I've been trying to get the 5th Anniversary Edition of Anatomy of a War wrapped up. Just four distinct pieces to write....

I notice many people, including one of my co-mods, have yet to post their official national info and OrBat entry, not to mention their Quarter 1 build and budget orders.
I am most disappointed, most disappointed indeed.....
I will conceive a suitable punishment soon enough.

My 1st Quarter Financial Budget will be up as soon as I figure out exactly what I want to do with the Panama Canal.

Time progression has commenced as of Sunday the 23rd. We will enter Quarter 2 of 1910 on June 6th.
I'd like to see some story posts from everyone over the course of the next week, including at least one covering to some degree the particulars of this quarter's orders and budget allotments.

In regards to artillery regiments, remember to specify if they're field, heavy, or siege. There's no cost or manpower difference, but in event of conflict the artillery type determines stuff like ability to batter down defenses.

Apparently my estimation of what siege artillery consists of in 1910 was slightly off. What sorts of guns do siege arty regiments sport as of the start of the game?

They consist of Siege Howitzers in the 20-30cm range of calibers. Guns like the German "Big Bertha" will be made available as potential Army tech breakthroughs.

Edwin P Morrow was a governor of Kentucky in 1919 and a good solid Republican of the time (which means odds are against him being a Republican today). Sadly this timeline has given us a hardcase military office with an older brother that doesn't exist in our timeline.
Or in other words I have done considerable violence to this man's character. May I be forgiven.

Thought I'd point out that February 2nd 1910 was a Wednesday, not a Saturday. The first Saturday of the month was the 5th.

Well I am about to do great violence to Luigi Cadorna's character, a man who thoroughly deserves it.

And I'm just busy making shit up. So I don't need to worry about impugning character.

I have no objections to that.

Alright, formal announcement.
Hadri, Desi, and Klavo. If you don't have a formalized national info post up, complete with at least rudimentary OrBat, by this coming Sunday, you're out. Your nations will be rendered NPCs - I might even completely remove them (the Mongols especially haven't been "vital" so far in stories) and alter them to provide further NPCs.
