The Long Strider is a decades-old surplus Scout ship, Type 29. It is small, has modest cargo space, and really isn't economical for merchants who work on a main trade route. Rather it is a ship for specialised cargo and 'speculative' trade. The number of staterooms can allow a minimum of four crew, though only two are strictly necessary (a pilot and an engineer), although a stateroom is big enough for a double bed or bunked bedding, which can increase the number of people who can live on the ship.

The Long Strider is over a century old. The Commonwealth Scout Service prefers simple, robust designs and the Type 29 has served well in that regard, though in recent years the CSS has introduced the warp 4 Type 30 scoutship, which has begun to replace the venerable Type 29. Warp 3 allows the Type 29 to traverse 3 parsecs at a week's travel time, or a single jump. More distance can be gleaned depending on how good the astrogator is.

Type 29 scoutships have a dorsal turret as well as two forward mounted laser cannons.

The aft cargo bay can hold several tons of supplies or cargo, as well as a speeder or other vehicle. Commonly scoutships will have a speeder for planetary exploration work, or the cargo bay will hold a specialist module for missions - such as a space lab for research, or a dedicated electronics suite for work in a Naval taskforce, or a pod of low-berth travellers.

Nicely designed... you might want to edit the post so we can see all of the text without constant scrolling though mate.
