#1 Deathwatch (or join the space marine reserve!)

I think we've got enough interest from the usual Rogue Trader crew to make backup Deathwatch viable.
Just to be clear to people wandering in who haven't seen the Rogue Trader thread, I'm planning to run Deathwatch missions should that game's weekly session not happen for whatever reason. That means this game has no regular schedule. For the rest of you, that means Monday nights, 8pm eastern if Rogue Trader is off. I'll try to get screenmonkey set up so that mechanically things should be pretty similar to the regular game.
The Deathwatch main book has all your character generating needs covered, but Rites of Battle is also usable for custom and successor chapters. Other supplements are also usable, unless you pull out something ridiculously unbalanced (ha, more unbalanced than space marines, I crack myself up).
Stats will be point-buy.

What are the other supplements that may be included? I'm fine with just making a character with just the main book but Hotfoot will probably be bitching about that.

Unlike Into the Storm, which adds a ton of stuff that's only available at character creation, the only thing added in Rites of Battle that's worth noting is one alternate career advance and the custom chapter rules, at least for starting characters. It's got a ton of stuff for later play, but the need for it for a starting character is far less than Into the Storm was for Rogue Trader or Inquisitor's Handbook was for Dark Heresy. More proof that Fantasy Flight has been upping their game lately.
The only real issue I have with the main book is that of the Chapters listed, there's an overwhelming amount of close-combat specializing chapters. If you like options and melee combat, all well and good, but I like my faith in the Emperor to extend to the range of my boltgun.

Edit: Hotfoot beat me to it, and said it better to boot.
Additionally, Rites of Battle adds the Imperial Fists chapter and a bunch of successor chapters, for some extra flavor.
There is actually one thing I'm going to flat out disallow: Space Wolf successor chapters. Such things are henceforth dubbed proscribed by His most holy Inquisition and the Space Wolves themselves, infractions are punishable with time spent repainting ship hulls sans void suit.

We are using Skype, yes. Combined with Screenmonkey for map/dice.
Edit: You shouldn't have to download anything for Screenmonkey, that happens on my end and I give you an IP to plug into a browser or get the game announcement on their main site.
Blood Angels librarian is a go.

Could be worse. Could be three pre-errata Devastators and two bastards who watch while the enemy is slaughtered in droves.

Marcao requested that I allow people to pick their armour history, given a little backstory. This seems reasonable to me as it sounds like we've got a relatively small kill team. It doesn't need to be Pulitzer-worthy, but feel free to go nuts. If you'd rather just roll, that's fine too.
Going by Rites of Battle, available starting armours are Mk4 - Mk8. Pick your armor, and you get the following number of history choices from any of the tables:
Mk4: 3
Mk5 and Mk6: 2
Mk7 and Mk8: 1

The chainsword substitution is fine. Looking over your sheet, you still need to pick your chapter trapping, but nothing else jumps out at me.
Additionally, anyone who missed last Monday's game but will make this one gets 800xp and 6 renown.
