He glanced at Chicken Boy, suddenly suspicious.

"How do you know so much about the Sabbat?"

[Comrade Tortoise]

"Great. Tomorrow night sounds good. Plan's pretty simple- we show the Mick that we can hit hard, hard enough that fucking with us isn't profitable. Shouldn't have to bury more than a couple of his guys in the process. Then we talk it out and business goes back to usual. And in the meantime, hey, help yourself to dinner," he waved at the door leading to the party. "Got a place to hide from the sun?"

"FIne by me. I will take my leave if you are going to feed... I may know you are being... predators... But it is different if I see it. I must therefore take my leave, I have my own place to hide from the sun"

[Comrade Tortoise]

He glanced at Chicken Boy, suddenly suspicious.

"I have been around the block a few times over the course of 20 years. Just because I am a priest doesnt mean I am sheltered. Trust me, I take an almost perverse pleasure in deporting those... monsters.. to the hell they rightly deserve"

[Josh]

He shrugged at Chicken Boy. "Okay then. You know where the party is, come in right after sundown tomorrow and we'll get to work."

[Comrade Tortoise]

Father Leonard nodded and left the office, walking into the party where he managted to catch the sinful girl from before

"my child, it is almost sunup... would you like an escort home?" he asked, and yes, he had no intention of feeding on human blood.

[Cynical Cat]

She smiled. "Thank's Padre, but I think I'll crash here."

[frigidmagi]

"I head to my spot for now, when and where should I met you?" Jason asked.

[Comrade Tortoise]

"very well" he said "but be careful, dont do anything you will regret"

WIth that, he left. Saying a prayer for her safety, and barring that, her soul as he walked down the street toward his own haven. The apartment the church provided him in his 'retirement'

[Cynical Cat]

"Head here when you get up. We'll talk location, strategy, and get you a heater if you need one." Rossi smiled. If the priest was ready to play rough and Jason was as good as he seemed, then the odds were in their favor.

[Josh]

"Scoot in here right after sunup," he informed Jason.

Okay, now he was going to have to explain to Rossi why he actually brought Chicken Boy back to the haven.

This was going to be fun.

"Alright." Jason said has he left. A stray thought came to him, what was a heater?

[Josh]

"See ya, Blue Eyes!" Wright called out. After the door closed, he swiveled his chair toward Rossi, bracing himself for the barrage of 'wit'.

[Cynical Cat]

"Jesus! A priest? And a stuck up one at that. I'm awaiting your genius, buddy."

[Josh]

Okay, that wasn't so bad.

"Hey, he's got pull with a local underboss and a cop biggy. If he does, it's worth putting up with him for a while. And maybe he knows how to use the meat cleaver he's hauling around, too. We can't be too picky right now."

[Cynical Cat]

Wright sneered. "Oh my god, he knows a cop! Fuck, how can I possibly equal that tremendous advantage?" Rossi smacked his forhead with the palm of his hand. "Wait! I'm living in fucking Chicago and have fucking cops on the fucking payroll!"

He settled down for a moment. "Well, it isn't going to be like anyone is going to miss the prissy little mother fucker. We can always see if he works out."

[Josh]

He shrugged. There wasn't a good answer for why Rossi brought home a stone cold killer and he brought home a priest, and the other kindred had the truth of it.

"Hey, better a clanless than one of our own if we gotta feed 'em to the other guys as a peace offering, right?"

[Cynical Cat]

"That's fucking true. Who gives a flying fuck about Caitiff?"

[Josh]

"God?" he quipped, then laughed, relaxing. "Anyway, got anybody picked out for who we should make our example of?"

[Cynical Cat]

"We should hit one of his warehouses or stills. Just fucking wipe the place out. Go Carthage on it. Let him know we aren't to be fucked with. Any one of his Northside places. It isn't like all of them are secret. Fuck, half the cops in this city are on someone's payroll. Just a little more money and they'll give it up, those fucking hypocrits."

[Josh]

He pondered that for a long moment. It was a fine line they were walking, wanting to put in enough of a show of strength to deter the Mick's aggression, but not enough that he decided that war was the only answer.

He tapped his fingers on the desk as he continued thinking. There was also the matter of Chicken Boy and his... ethics...

"Those little assholes Pryor and Donnally. Nobody'll miss them. Let's find out where they run out of, and take it out."

[Cynical Cat]

Rossi smiled. "Sure. I never liked those fucking weasels. And I happen to know where they are operating out of. A warehouse near the waterfront." Rossi scribbled the address down and made a shooting gesture with his hand. "Goodbye," he said, shooting an imaginary figure.

"They might try to hit back," Rossi replied. "You ready for that?"

[Josh]

"Yeah, I'm ready. Got nothing around here that I'm too attached to. If we have to go to the mattresses, we go. I've already got a couple of spots picked out."

[Cynical Cat]

"Good," replied Rossi. 'I would hate for the important Kindred to be inconvieneced." He stood up. "I've got to go. I'll see you after sunset."

[Josh]

"Watch your back, Rossi."

He got up, feeling the approach of the sun. It was still a safe distance off, but it was getting close enough that that sluggishness was becoming noticeable. He pondered playing with his crowd a bit more, but decided against it.

Making his pleasantries for the never-ending party, he made his way down to the basement. Dogging the hatch, a nice touch he really appreciated on the basement, the old-style wheel door that clamped down like hell from the inside, he made his way to the spartan bed and prepared for his daily slumber.

Jason returned to the waterfront, he checked several times to ensure he was not followed before duckig into a deserted building. It had taken him sometime to find it one for his needs. This one had a basement.

He snuck into the building via a window, he always left the door closed and locked. Looking over he saw the door had remained so. He moved down the hall to the basement entracence. It was a simple door, Jason guarded it by stacking large heavy pieces of broken funture behind it when he slept. He had broken up the stairs to make it a difficult climb for a human.

Once he was within the basement, he checked to ensure he was alone. He had been taught time and time again that this was the most dangerous time of life, when he slept. The room was empty save of the couple of books he had stolen, a pile of blankets and a knife. Tomorrow he would bring the knife with him, although he viewed it more has a tool than a weapon. He covered himself in the blankets and closed his eyes, sinking into deep darkness.
