Paranoia: Happiness is just a laserblast away

As Colgate chased after the bot, the bot dashed down a wide corridor and into the path of a transbot. The smaller scrubot gave way to the forces of univerisal law and yielded its mass to that of the wheels of the transbot. It was crushed unceremoniously and its AI blinked out of existance without ceremony. A spark or two and it exploded into a small ball of flame and shrapnel, falling harmlessly in the wake of the transbot.

After his feat of ME card swapping, he followed Colgate, just intime to see the Scrubot get trashed.

"To bad" he said cheerfully.

[Caz]

When she returned to Jim's view, she was holding the damaged AI unit as proof of the "kill."

She looked to the Green-clearance man.

"Any more of these malfunctions that you're aware of?" she said crisply.

Before he answered, she looked to John-02 and shrugged.

"As long as the threat is neutralised," she said.

[Josh]

He rolled to his feet, looking around. "So, work done then. Let us report that we've accomplished our mission."

He put his hands in his pockets as was his habit, then got a very odd look on his face.

[B4UTRUST]

The GREEN citizen stood firmly in Jim's way, his boundless will and unrelenting attitude flaring.
"Citizens, I insist you give me your names so I can transfer these credits. I can not in good service to The Computer, let you go without your reward."

[Josh]

"It would seem," he said, looking at the other two Troubleshooters. "That some lowlife scoundrel has absconded with my ME card."

[Caz]

"That doesn't mean you've forgotten your own name," Colgate said pointedly to him.

[Dark Silver]

John blinked at this news, patting his pockets down quickly in search of his own.

"By The Computer! My ME Card is missing also!"

[Josh]

He divided his glare evenly between Colgate and John. "There is a traitor among us, a wanton thief!"

[B4UTRUST]

The GREEN citizen put his hands up in innocent.
"Whoa there Troubleshooter. False accusations of treson are treason!"

[Dark Silver]

"But Friend Citizen, I remember clearly now, that I was told by our friend Teammate that my ME card and effects were taken by you from my previous body!"

John narrowed his eyes at Jim.

[Josh]

"And returned to you in full sight of our fellow Troubleshooter afterward, while you were busy sleeping on the job!" he shouted at John.

Then the Green's words sunk in and he made a loud 'EEEP!' noise.

[Dark Silver]

"But where then, is my Laserpistol and PDC?!? And I was not asleep on the job, I was unconcious with blood loss!"

John turned to look at Colgate, to verify Jim's story as he waved his stump in Jim's face.

[Josh]

"Right here!" he said, returning the pistol. "Along with the barrels I generously purchased for you, along with other mission equipment!"

He handed over the bombs, glad to be quit of the dangerous things.

[Caz]

Colgate nodded, glad to see him return the items.

She then looked back to the Green-clearance citizen.

"Now, as I asked, were there any other malfunctions in this sector?"

[B4UTRUST]

Before the GREEN citizen could speak a holographic image shimmered into view above John's head.
"Greetings Citizen John-R-BKL-2! You look like you could use a tasty Bouncy Bubble Beverage right about now! Why don't you try one of our new exicting flavors as soon as you can! They are exellent flavors we assure you!"

With the same shimmer the holographic person-o-ad disappeared from view.

John graciously accepted the Laserpistol, his much cheaper than Jim's barrels laser pistol barrels, and the three cans of B3.

When the ad came on, he did realieze he was awefully thirsty, and opened one up and drank.

[Josh]

Jim screamed and dived behind the Green citizen.

[B4UTRUST]

The GREEN citizen glanced around as if coming back to his senses and looked at the three troubleshooters.
"Oh, well then. Fine, no reward will be transfered. I really must be on my way you know, lots to do lots to do."

An enthusiastic voice catches your attention.
"There you guys are! I’ve been looking for you everywhere!"

You turn to see an eager-looking YELLOW-Clearance citizen with a clipboard under his arm. He’s wearing an HPD&MC vest and a production cap for the reality vid series Shooters. He gives each of you a firm, friendly handshake.
"I’m Harry-Y-LGT-3, your casting director. Glad t'meet you. Trouble finding the studio?" he says, then waves it off casually. "I figured as much. People get lost around here all the time."

[Josh]

He rose to his feet slowly, watching John carefully for evidence that he was about to spontaneously combust.

[Caz]

"You have to shake it in order for it to combust, friend," Colgate said cheerfully to Jim. She still held the Scrubot's mangled AI-core in her hand. When the man entered, she accepted his handshake and then said:

"Finding the studio? Not at all."

Why the hell not. Wing it.

[B4UTRUST]

"Oh well then!" Harry-Y exclaimed. "If you'll all just follow me we'll be on our way!"

Harry-Y turned and started walking back the way he had came, fully expecting the Troubleshooters to follow.

The Troubleshooters, of course, remembered how great last season of 'Shooters' was, with the ex-IntSec agent who wrestled with revealing his mutant nature, and the CPU clerk who discovered he was a cyborg assassin from the future.

"Troubleshooters are great," Harry-Y commented. "They'll go anywhere, do anything."

[Josh]

"That's our job!" Jim agreed happily, falling into step.

[Dark Silver]

John smiled happily, quiet filled with the Bouncy Bubbly Beverage soda, and followed off down the hall.

"We get to be on "Shooters"!" he exclaimed jubilantly

[Caz]

"Take care, friend citizen!" Colgate chirped at the Green-clearance citizen as she followed the group, strategically placing herself between the television man and the Troubleshooters.

For a moment she wondered why she was still keeping hold of the Scrubot's AI unit, then shrugged. Just in case Friend Computer needed proof of their abilities!
