Torma gently set Astinius back on his feet, allowing him to recover his composure while she turns towards Gaheris. "Let's go tonight... those pidgeon eggs were too tiny." she complained, stretching her neck out so her head was level with Gar's before her arrow-pointed tongue snuck out and licked the side of his face. "Yumm... even you taste good right now."

Gaheris was lightning-fast, and the gloves he wore only made him faster. As her tongue withdrew, it found itself caught between his forefinger and thumb. "Let's try not tasting me again, shall we," he said with a half smile as he released her.

Torma let her tongue hand out of her mouth for a moment, blinking as she realized just how fast he'd moved. Then the tongue slurps back behind her teeth. "Leather doesn't taste as good, especially when it's had blood on it..." she replied, trying hard make it look like he didn't surprise her.

Gaheris chuckled. "Well, by the time we get to Mulsantir's Gate and the Jolly Warrior, Crisen should be in position. We shouldn't all arrive at once. I'll go first, get settled in before Torma arrives and provides the bait," he said as he pulled out his disguise kit. "Unless anyone has a different plan?"

Torma rolled her eyes. "One day, we are going to go out and eat somewhere you -don't- feel the need to put that stuff all over your face."

"Well I might not need to this time. How exactly do we plan on doing this? Just bring the whole group out in the open for maximum bait value, or do we want to keep someone in a back corner?"

"Well... it's not like I can hide, is it?" Torma quipped. "Out of all of us, I think Malk could hide the best..." She looked over to the man with the decorative fangs fussing to pull his hair back in something 'aristocratic'. "Although I don't think he's wanting to...."

"I guess I could abandon my fancy getup." Malkamar admitted. "Just don't take too long. I can only maintain such for a while."

"that settles it then!" Torma beamed. "We go out, as ourselves, and see what happens."

"Can we go eat now?"

Gaheris put the disguise kit away. "Sure," he said, smiling. He was internally nervous about so brazenly going out in the open like this, but it wasn't about to get to him.

It was dark outside now, with only a few people out on Westgate's dimly lit streets. Men stood on guard around the Abbey, ready to allow the faithful access in a time of need or repel attackers if need be.

"Well, it's a good thing 'myself' includes being a skulking bastard." Malkamar chuckled, shaking his head. "I'll head out first. I'm sure you guys will beat me there somehow."

The Shadovar started out towards the Jolly Warrior, knowing he'd attract some attention; it was hard to hide the fact his skin was the same colour as a Drow, but with a far more human build.

"Well, then. Let's go, before Malk gets too far ahead!" Torma replied cheerfully, walking out of the room with her wings folded flat against her back and her tail waving cheerfully. "I'll even pay for the first bottle of wine, if you hurry..."

Yes, the dragon was bribing them, offering to *gasp* spend her horde.

Astinius generally didnt drink, didnt like losing his self control Still, this should be an interesting evening regardless. He followed the dragon at a healthy distance so he could sidestep any more of her affectionate outbursts should they be forthcoming.

Gaheris followed along behind Torma and Astinius, seeming casual but keeping alert for any threat.

((Found a way to do it from work. Shhhh!))

Torma was humming to herself as she walked, head high and proud, and remembering that she was BAIT. Which meant she'd best be paying attention to surroundings, even if it looked like she didn't have a care in the world.

Malkamar was not the most observant of the bunch. While deadly when leaping from the shadows, he wasn't really very good at watching them. Especially when in search of drink and finery.

The adventurers strode out onto Westgate's darkened streets. Pedestrian traffic had dwindled to a trickle. The city didn't sleep at night, not really. Elves, half elves, gnomes, and dwarves were a minority but their business mattered. The activities of the wealthy, and those that served and serviced them, were not constrained by the cycle of day and night.

So there was nothing unusual about seeing a few people on the street as they wound their way through a narrow sidestreet. Nothing but innocent street traffic . . . . that Torma noticed a certain coordination in their movements.

The street is about twenty-five feet wide. Four party goers clustered twenty feet behind them. Three men with a wagon thirty feet in front. And a man and a woman just off of Gaheris's side.
It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

She couldn't prove that the circle of people surrounding them was deliberate, no weapons could she spot right yet. Which ones to take, the four behind, or the three in front with the wagon? She took a deep breath, preparing herself for a strike. Slow gas, not fire just yet, at the ones blocking the front of them so she could clear a way out of the trap.

There was no time to warn the rest of the party, she could only hope that they had sensed the trap themselves. Before the three men in front of her could lunge, she breathed out a cone of dusty smoke, a gas meant to retard movement and make those inhaling it slow easy prey. Only if pressed would she resort to the more powerful of her breath weapons: the wooden buildings in the city would not withstand its acid touch.

((Slow Gas, Fort Save DC17?. Slow d6+3=7rnds. If combat lasts that long))
