"To power," Vexule echoed as she drew in the glass, taking another light sip from it before setting it down on a nearby table. She then gave him a sultry expression, smiling narrowly.

Just short of a hundred trillion years after the Time Lord known as the Master grinned and then switched off the lights to do things with Vexule that probably would have made several parents petition to have them removed from the air, three people were having a little bit of trouble. It would best be described as 'monsters at the door', 'no escape' and 'the door has a broken lock', so as Martha Jones and Captain Jack Harkness tried to hold the door back, the Doctor was already half way through a plan.

'Right,' he said, glancing over at the spot where the TARDIS had faded from. 'Captain, I need that vortex manipulator of yours...'

'Why?' he grumbled, struggling to hold the door back as dozens of the cannibalistic mutants tried to break in. 'It doesn't even work!'

'Because I can fix it, and we're going to use your time spacehopper to go and bounce through time so I can get my time sportscar back,' said the Time Lord. 'Now hurry it up!'

'But-' Jack began to protest.

'Just do it!' cried Martha.

As Jack growled his discomfort and pulled the watch off, throwing it to the Doctor, one of them managed to get hold of Martha's shoulder and dig in its nails. The Doctor began fiddling about with the device, pointing his sonic screwdriver at it and trying to activate it.

'Hurry up!' Jack said, swatting the hand away from Martha.

'Done!' the Doctor cried, leaping towards them and pressing a button. From the point of view of the cannibal mutants, they simply vanished into thin air.

Ra was back on the Aurora's bridge staring blankly into monitors as Qil'Yah stepped up, resting her hands upon his shoulders. Ra leaned back and closed his eyes, as if in deep thought.

"Still wondering where Vexule went?" the Klingon chuckled.

"Slightly... she was a good crewmember, at least," Ra muttered. "She can't have just disappeared. What have your people said?"

"Security has found no signs or vaporization traces from her," said Qil'Yah. "Though she was last sighted walking with a strange human-looking man toward Hangar J-7."

"And in the hangar?" Ra seethed.

"Nothing. Literally, nothing. It's as if she vanished into thin air."

"Or she got onto a stealth ship," Ra muttered. "Romulans are like that."

Qil'Yah then came up closer, saying, "Enough about the Romulan. You're refueled. Where do you intend to go?"

"Kamdragix, in Sector AP-9245," said the Goa'uld. "But first I want to gather up supplies. I want to make a power play against the 'Queen' of that planet, named Madar."

"And you will need soldiers for that," Qil'Yah noted. "Sector AP-9245 is a fortress, ruled by the Outsiders that ravaged the galaxy."

"It is a long-term plan, mind," Ra nodded. "I want to see if Baal, Bastet, and Ereshkigal are still alive. Yes, two of them are only minor Goa'uld, but they still have some measure of power. That means they have ships, and armies."

"I know some people that can help us as well, if you want Klingons and Andorians in your military."

"If they are loyal to good money and use a weapon, I'll take them," Ra explained. "Hell, even humans will do."

"But will mercenaries be willing to wage a war against Madar?" asked the Klingon. "What benefit is there?"

"Answer your own question," Ra smirked. "Madar is a pain in the ass for everyone. She took over valuable trade space, force-relocated several Jaffa societies, and drove the Zerg Queen back through a dimensional rift. I'd say she's pissed off a few billion sentients."

The fleet shortly arrived at the Drax system. Most the ships remained back at maximum laser range, and a shuttle, carring only Lucrecia, was launched to the station.

She levitated off the ramp, and was approached by a burly looking human.

"Hey, you got any ID?" he asked her.

Without speaking, she levitated slightly higher, then disappeared, and about a second later, reappeared about seventy meters behind him, leaving the human bewildered and alone.

She levitated through the corridors, catching confused looks from many she passed, but paid them no heed.

She stops at an information desk to inquire about getting supplies, but glances at a nearby hanger. After she got her answers from the info dude, she took a closer look, then whipped out her communicator.

"Bob, come in."

"I'm here, what's up?" he responded over the radio a couple seconds later.

"I think I see that hybrid ship in here. The one we made against the Guardians."

"The Aurora?"

"Yeah. I'm not sure though."

"All right. Leave that, finish up and get back here as quickly as you can."

"Okay."

Fifteen hundred years of life tends to get extremely short-seeming when it's over, but his life was hopefully never going to be over. His long term goals were conquer the universe, gain immortality, get laid... probably in the reverse order, and the latter had already been completed. As for the Romulan herself, she was sleeping while he piloted the TARDIS onto a course which would have them materialise aboard the Aurora.

Though Romulans didn't sleep as long as humans, neither did he. In fact, as a Time Lord he didn't really need to sleep for more than ninety minutes once every two or three days. It was rather useful when you were travelling with a Romulan, because - as a Vorta once said - they're predictably treacherous. The Master glanced at the scanner screen simply so he could chuckle when he saw the look on the former System Lord's face when a TARDIS materialised aboard the Aurora.

On board the Aurora, Ra the Goa'uld was disturbed from whatever it was that he was currently doing by a strange rhythmic wheezing and grinding sound of the Time Vortex interacting with reality that pierced the air and he turned to see the faint outline of a 1960s London Police Box that was slowly solidifying into existence.
