Deciding that Legacies had the air and stone beings under control, Tholos decided he would see what he could do about the fire elemental. Placing his hand on the stone at his feet, Tholos poured his will into it. With a monstrous rumbling, a 10 foot tall wall of earth erupted just in front of him. "Let's see you dig your way out of this!" With another blast of will, Tholos sent the wall at the elemental, turning it into a veritable tidal wave as it went.

With Earth and Fire occupied, Argent again attempted to deal with Air. Shadows leapt up from the floor like the open jaws of a great beast, closing about the pale man in an attempt to capture and contain him.

Clang.
Clang.
Clang cronk bangbang-whooosh
The sound of metal being bashed repeatedly was very quiet and a little distorted, either from distance or the thin air, but it was definitely coming from one of the hallways that formed the top of the T-shaped intersection. The rush of air hammering out of the left passage suggested that an airlock had just ruptured. Further sounds of tearing, bending metal followed.
The voice that came alongide the racket sounded as though it was a good distance down the hallway, and that the owner was exceptionally loud. "When I find the Complaints Department, they're going to hear about this. No warning lights, no buzzers, not even a sign that says 'Stand clear of huge freakin' door.' That's all I ask, a little thing that says 'Caution: Evil door may try to crush you without warning.' Is that really too much?" Something that sounded like a monstrous cable parting warbled strangely as it echoed against stone walls.

The stone elemental lady merely reformed every time Legacies attacked her. As his tentacles would slide through her, her body would flow back together unbroken.
The hard light arrows from the blade were likewise ineffective against the wind elemental. His body became intangible as the arrows passed through him, striking the wall behind. When Argent tried to entrap him he squeezed through openings in the shadow as she enveloped the body. The being of wind moved through and out, reforming into the whole once more as it stayed aloft in the air above the shadows.
The wave of flowing stone broke against a wall of solid stone that rose from the floor to intercept it.
The flame elemental let rip with two great blasts of concentrated fire at the exterior of the gravitic shield. The flames broke and spread around the edges of the shield where they struck. The elemental continued to pour the fire at the shield, causing the air trapped inside to begin to heat up.

Ok... trapping Air didn't work, and it was clear that Fire was trying to parbroil the Team inside Gravitas' shield. "Back off, bitch..." Argent muttered, focusing on the shadows the fire cast on the walls and floor.
The shadows rose up, solidifying into a large tentacle that smacked the Fire Elemental with surprising strength, sending the woman flying down the hallway.

Legacies quickly shifted tactics. Creating almost scoop like objects from his symbiote the silver figure attacked not the figure itself, but around it. Scraping it up from the ground it held onto as well as attempting to surround it entirely in a solid cocoon to entrap the annoying creature.

"Oh dear. The little elemental thinks it can play in the big leagues." Gravitas' scorn was audible. "You think you have the power to harm what I create?" His senses delved into the void of space between stars. Finding the coldest point, he created a momentary connection with the core of the fire elemental, exposing it to a realm where flame could never exist.

Tachyon attempted to perceive the entirety of the conflict.
He was not new to combat but every situation that he had participated in was never exactly alike any other. Inwardly, he felt relatively little apprehension at their current situation. There was of course the acceptance of the unknown, the fact that irregardless of what he did or thought he knew there would always be surprises. He did not worry about them anymore but he did what he could to prepare for those unforeseen circumstances. This was one such circumstance.
He was not the first to act, deciding that he would be better suited in seeing how Team Mirage handled the situation. This was his first time fighting alongside them and he was even now not intimately aware of how the unit operated. What could only be termed as elements gathered and the battle truly began. He had seen and heard the exchange between their guest and the other members of the team. So, it looked as if they had angelic support of some kind. At this point, he would take whatever help he could get. He remembered Argent’s reaction to the presumed angel and he had not been surprised. He knew of her heritage her actions made sense to him. It was the fact that he had not felt any envy at all that should have worried him. When it came to his relationship with Argent, he had made his decision. He was firmly on that path now. He would not look back.
His power flooded over him, internal reserves fully tapped as the energy spread through him like an unseen dynamo. He could feel his might spread through him bathing every cell in his body with barely perceptible warmth. He could not match the raw destructive power of a fully charged Blast. He could maybe under the right circumstances come close, but he did not have to make Blast’s sacrifices. He did not have his limitations. Still, he had limits. His reserves of energy were not infinite but they were vast. A part of him accepted that holding back in their current situation could very well be fatal. And as such, he did what he had been taught against. He fully tapped into his powers, the possibility of collateral damage greatly diminished by their present surroundings. It was a rare opportunity to test his limits.
Legacies moved, a barely perceptible blur that seemed to take a life of its own. He watched dispassionately as the meta tore into the earth elemental with fury well past the threshold of killing. Legacies aimed to destroy and dismember, but irregardless of his efforts it seemed as if the Earth refused to cooperate with his aims. He considered assisting the silver demon, but the likelihood of harming the meta was high even with the control he exerted over his talents. Argent attacked the air elemental and her attacks seemed to be ineffectual. Hmm, there was something unusual about the way her attacks behaved.
The Fire Elemental made its move and Gravitas responded. Of all the members of Team Mirage, Gravitas was arguably the strongest and in many ways the most disturbing. The meta’s words left his lips as if he were Zeus sitting upon his throne at the very top of Mount Olympus. It did not seem as if Gravitas would need help.
His attention settled on the air elemental as it slid in and out of Argent’s attacks. There seemed to be an undercurrent of amusement in the very body language of the creature as it artfully moved through and out Argent’s shadows. It was time for an experiment. His right arm moved, his opened hand aligning itself with the air elemental as it kept itself away from the reach of the shadows beneath it. Up until this point, he had done nothing more than watch. That was about to change.
There was no outward warning really, there was no extravagant display of power, there was very little sound at all. The power which flooded over him was tapped and guided along his arm while in his mind he visualized the desired effect. Even though he lacked the raw destructive potential that Blast possessed, he had a great deal of control over the shaping and harnessing of his own gift. The power gathered in his hand reaching the necessary threshold in a heart beat. The attack was shaped into a one meter diameter beam of energy centered on his hand. It covered the distance between his outstretched arm and the air elemental in fractions of a second with a ferocity that was difficult to put into words.
The raw energy involved was surprising, capable of completely vaporizing a human being, melting steel and cutting through many feet of concrete. Would the air elemental simply phase through this attack or would it be forced to interact with the attack? What sorts of effect if any would it have on the core of this construct, on the very molecules that held themselves together and formed it? The beam existed exactly for a second before fading.

The stone being decided to use Legacies own tactics against him. When Legacies attempted to encase the elemental in a symbiotic cacoon it created spikes of rock and shoved them through.
The fire elemental slowed and then stilled. The flames still flickered for a moment before they grew darker. The air around it chilled as it became encased in ice.
The air elemental danced in and out of Argent's shadows, moving nimbly about till it was slammed in the back by a blast of energy. The body was thrown rapidly against the wall as the blast surged straight through it, charing the stone beyond. The body slumped to the ground, a gaping hole through the chest as blood pooled beneath the quickly cooling body.
Beyond the team's sight the barrier that held the chamber empty of oxygen dissipated, allowing fresh air to slowly start filling the chamber again.

The flash of emerald fire was almost too fast to see, searing Air... literally. Argent's silver eyes widened, shifting view to see who threw the bolt, only to see Tachyon lowering his hand, his eyes glowing with the same emerald fire. It was the first time she'd seen him do anything besides teleport. The power and control was impressive. He needs to teach Blast that kind of control

"Atmosphere returning to human sustainable levels." The detachment in Gravitas' voice was noticable. The warped reality slowly returned to normal, letting the air pass gently back into circulation. "I believe there is someone else down here who is not aligned with the demons."

As though in answer, the cable-snapping sound came again, this time accompanied by a loud pop. A triumphant laugh chased the sounds, and heavy, jogging footsteps came shortly after.
The owner of the footsteps appeared from the left branch of the intersection. The ash-grey robes, imposing height, and hairless dome lent the large man a momentary resemblence to the Grim Reaper, but the image was lost once the eye had time to notice the deep smile lines etched into his face, the bone-deep tan, and the stubbly evidence that he hadn't shaved that morning. The cheap black backpack completely banished what remained of the image. Heavy black boots, sporting polished steel caps over the toes and lots of straps and buckles, adorned his feet, and a silver disk hung on a chain around his neck. He looked over the group assembled, his face not giving away much.
"Well, none of you have pitchforks and you're playing nice with Michael, so I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the cavalry has arrived."

Legacies re-wrapped the cacoon as fast as it was breached, curshing down on the cacoon, even if parts were broken, as hard as he could. The dagger flashed again and more green arrows launched out to fill the holes and hopefully injure the creature.
"If none of you are too busy..." Was all the figure spoke as he focused on keeping the elemental busy.

At Legacies shout, Argent refocused on the last of the Elementals. Earth had been reforming, reshaping, every time it was cut the pieces flowed back together....
"Oldest myth in the book," Argent muttered as she realized how it was regenerating. "Legacies! Disengage on three! One... Two...."
Three was implied as the shadows on the ceiling solidified and fell like a cleaver on a cutting board, slicing Earth's body in twain. Like a chef, Argent used the cleaver as a wedge, sliding the portions apart. The shadow-knife moved and flowed, becoming a scoop, whatever it took to keep that half of the Elemental from rejoining the main body.
If she was right, separating the Elemental would prevent it from regenerating, and most likely kill it. If she was wrong, she just doubled their problems by giving it two bodies. Best to make sure of the kill. "Blackheart? Care to vaporize one of these?"

Blast had stayed behind the group for the most part. He was more then a little frightened and unsure. It was one thing to talk about assaulting a demon nest, it was another to actually be standing in one listening to... Best not to think about it. But when he heard Argent's request he knew he could do that much, if he didn't accidentally blow a hole in the roof or something.
He moved to get a clean shot and raised his fist, he concentrated on "squeezing" the flow of energy, it still felt uncomfortable, like trying to shut off in the middle of a piss only more so and fired.
The stream was blinding in it's bright intensity, like a tendril of sun reaching through the void. It impacted on one of the elemental "halves" and seemingly devoured it.

"Did you just puke up a demon?"
The suprise in the monk's voice didn't slow him down much. His meaty hands curled into fists and ghostly, translucent flames engulfed them in a silent blaze. The pale fire didn't even singe his sleeves, but it seemed to have quite an effect as the man's haymaker plowed through the mishapen mass of sentient rock. The punch blasted a great chunk of stone free from what used to be the thing's torso, and the left-handed uppercut that followed would have knocked its head free had it not been for the narrow piece of its neck that flexed and did not snap. A flat-footed kick to center mass knocked it away from him and out in the open where it made an easy target.

"Nice shot, Blast..." Argent's voice came from Tachyon's shadow, one of the few that had remained in the room when Blast's sun-like flare had gone off. Slowly the dragon uncoiled, head unconsciously stroking Tachyon's arm as she revealed herself, the large silver eyes blinking and seemingly watering.
"Next time, a little warning so I can shut my eyes?" The tone was mostly sarcastic as Argent leaned lightly against Tachy. "All I can see are spots right now... Is Earth still up? Is she still regenerating?" Argent hoped they wouldn't have to cut Earth apart piece by piece, vapourizing each one to stop her.

Sorry, life sucks when you don't get warnings doesn't it?" He asked. His shield sprang to life. Once again he was outlined in a dim spraling orange/red light. There were still plenty of shadows.

"Is that referring to my teleports?" Argent asked with a draconic grin. As she spoke, shadows gathered around Earth, moving to block escape routes ... and then spiking up through the center of Earth's mass before spreading out like a lady's fan, separating another large chunk from the main body.

Blast again pointed with his fist and fired. Another bright stream of plasma slammed into the chunk of elemental and destroyed it. Blast found himself feeling twitchy. Maybe it was just the fact he was fighting demons but he felt there almost had to be a trap in this somewhere.

He did not allow himself the time to admire his work, he rarely did. The moment that it seemed that his attack had achieved the desired result his attention flickered elsewhere. The entirety of the team seemed to be involved but when his eyes settled on Blackheart he saw no outward attacks or motions. Was he missing something? It seemed that Blackheart was preoccupied with their guest. His eyes flickered towards the supposed Angel and settled there for only a moment. The presence of the unknown and supernatural was something that he had grown accustomed to within the halls of Ultima.
It was Li Na’s voice that brought his attention back away from the angel and into his immediate surroundings. He looked over his shoulders, seeing the familiar draconic form slither from the darkness provided by his own shadow. The scene was poignant and he admired it for a moment before he felt her head brush against his arm. He felt her leaning against him and he offered his strength without reservation. His eyes sliding towards the Earth elemental moments later before he replied. “It seems that Earth is still up and about although Blast certainly seemed to have a definite effect against it.â€

Blackheart didn't have the strength to brawl with earth, nor did he have the raw destructive power of Blast or the teleporting tricks of Argent or the gravikinetic talents of Gravitas. This was a fight best left to the rest of the team, who were doing a good job without him. It was best if he watched out for new dangers, including actions by this "Michael", and for ocassions where he might have to bail the rest of his teammates out of trouble.
Mostly, he was watching Michael and the corridors.

It's not that I'm unforgiving, it's that most of the people who wrong me are unrepentant assholes.

Watching the efficiency of the Stone Being's destruction, Gravitas frowned. "This is getting serious." He said, and there was definite concern in his voice. "I should have sensed this corridor, but I didn't. Something's messing with my head... Sorry." He apologized to the others. Still maintaining a protective shield, he moved to the opening, trying to discern why he couldn't sense it before. "We better get moving. These things are just to delay us and make us waste our reserves."

Argent looked up at Tachyon questioningly as she felt something pushing in her mind, down the faint whisper of a link between them. Her eyes half-closed as she was forced to concentrate on what he might be trying to send.Marcao wrote:"Lets hope that keeps it down." He said softly. Beneath Blast and Argent's onslaught it seemed that Earth would have little recourse but face extermination.
In her mindscape, it was like a tiny light amongst the darkness. Touching it, she felt the rush of feelings Tachy was pushing down the link. Her Empathy did not allow her to see the memories he called upon, but feeling them from his point of view was more than enough. It reminded her of the simple, human things. It chased away the darkness that she'd not realized had crept in past her shields.
Blinking back to reality, she looked up at Tachyon and then slowly laid her head against his chest, despite his own protective shielding. "Thank you...." was all she could think to say, before pulling away and vanishing again into the shadows.
There was still work to be done. Later, they could talk. Now, there was Earth to finish. This time, the shadows scraped along the floor gathering Earth together like a spatula scraping batter from a bowl. This time, Argent meant to get all of her. The shadows surged upwards, cupping the remaining mass of Earth as best they could.
"Blast, Tachy.... put her out of her misery."
