Glitch IV: Chapter 2 Abduction

Matt was still firing at the Master even as he disappeared, then all he heard was a clicking sound as he ran our of ammo. He dropped the blaster, letting it smack into the ground and bounce away. Without a word he moved over to the fallen rider and kicked him over. "This ones dead."

Matt only now realized that he was wearing his usual equipment as Ottoman, minus his helmet. Smirking some he drew his black sword and looked at the hole in the wall where Leah had smashed through the doors. Beyond that he could see a half-lit cathedral which itself looked torn to shreds. But at the end was freedom. A set of doors.

"Al, let's get Leah and get the hell out of here. The big boys are gone but I doubt that means that the thousands of minions are."

[Agent Fisher]

Jack too noticed that he was in his armor as Decimus, though he still had the vest with his extra ammo and side arm. He ejected the spent energy clip from the blaster and loaded a new one. "I second the motion to get the fuck out of dodge."

We shall meet again... the voice echoed in the darkness, as the Master disappeared, And next time, I will see your blood coat my armored hands...Albert.. Morganna, retreat.

Morganna dropped the spear, turning towards the Master. "I obey, Mast... urg..."

Three Vectors were outlined in blood where they emerged from the dark elf's chest. Delicate as a lady's arm, each one had a four-fingered hand that reached back to grab a piece of Morganna, one to each arm, the last to the head. Propping herself up on one arm, the dishelved sheet barely covering her, Leah glared at her enemy from the floor. "Oh no, Adena... I am not letting you leave...."

Leah's eyes blazed, and the arm-like Vectors flexed outwards, ripping and pulling themselves out of the dark elf's body. The body exploded as if in a horror movie, blood and gore flying, the head and both arms flung in seperate directions, derezzing with her death.

"........ I. Win."

And slowly, like a balloon deflating, Leah slumped back to the floor.

Skieth died and the master retreated and beconed Adeana to follow. Rory sighed, that was twice she had done something risky and it paid off. She let out a small victory yelp.

Rory watched as Leah ripped Adena aprt then slump to the floor. She rushed over to her and and cradled her friend in her arms. Her hands were shaking as she checked Leah's vitals.

"Her pulse is irratic, and she's freezing...we need to get her out of here."

She held the shivering woman closer, hoping her tiny body would provide some warmth. "Leah? Honey? Talk to me... Al's here. We're all here for you."

Leah stirred, opening her eyes at the voice. Her mind told her she knew that voice, even if she didn't quite understand what it was saying.

Her eyes saw a female dark elf.

"GET AWAY FROM ME!" Leah screamed, rolling completely out of Rukia's arms, and the sheet as well. For the first time, everyone could see the vivid bruises on her arms, back, and thighs, new over old, many of them near-perfect replicas of the fingers that had made them, or the teeth that had bit her.

Rory did not have time to notice more, as the vectors wrapped themselves around her throat, arms, and legs, lifting her up into the air. "Reform all you like Adena......" Leah snarled. "I *WILL* kill you, no matter how long it takes... and each time it will be as painfully as I can make it!"

The beastial Null slid back into Albert, who moved up towards Leah. The Vectors scared the bajeezus out of him, but he had to stop her anyways.

"Leah. Le-dra." He spoke with an odd double-voice, of Thog in there too.

A hand touched the maddened cleric's shoulder. "Relax." He urged. "Put silly Sivri down."

[Agent Fisher]

Jack snapped his blaster up towards Leah. "Hey, put her down, now!" He yelled at the bruised cleric.

Rory choked and sputtered trying desperately to gain just a little give so she could breathe. Her eyes filled with tears, her lungs burned. She'd always read about how sufficating felt, she never thought that she would die at the hand of her friend that way.

"Leah..." She rasped knowing that talking would cut into the small reserve of air she had. "Look at me...please...you....know...me..." She was out of breath, the vector wrapped around her neck was crushing her windpipe. She only had a few more minutes before she suffocated completely. Her ears were ringing and her eyes felt like they ever going to explode. The burining sensation in her lungs felt like fire. She went slack and waited.

Matt side-stepped infront of Jack. The Dark Paladin's back was still to the man, with his sword held at his side. The scarred man looked back at Jack and shook his head. "Back off Jack. Pointing guns is only gonna piss her off more."

Matt looked back at Leah. "Leah. It's ok. Adena's dead, we're here now. Al's gonna protect you." This would be so much easier if his face didn't look like one of the bad guys. "Now just put Rory down. She's your friend. You remember us right? It's me, Matt."

Magneto quietly lifted the metal spikes up and began to ease them into attack positions.

"Calm yourself women. Your abuser lies dead." He said.

Slowly, Rory was lowered to the ground, the invisible arms slipping away like gliding snakes, pulling away as Leah focused more on Albert. One vector reached out, invisibly stroking his face. "... are... you... real?" she whispered softly, totally ignoring Rory now as she faced what could be just another of Adena's tricks... or her salvation.

Matt looked back at Leah. "Leah. It's ok. Adena's dead, we're here now. Al's gonna protect you." This would be so much easier if his face didn't look like one of the bad guys. "Now just put Rory down. She's your friend. You remember us right? It's me, Matt."

Leah's blue eyes flickered, looking towards Matt, seeing "... Ottoman." Her eyes flicked back to Albert, the vector withdrawing with the realization of the truth.

A sob shook her body, then another. ".... thog ... al... I.... I...." The sheet moved as one or more of the vectors pulled it towards her, until her hands could clutch it around her reflexively. " ... I didn't... think you'd come...." she whispered, and then broke into tears.

As the vectors loosened around her throat and sat her down Rory gasped for air and quickly retracted away from her friend. Al had it under control. She sat quietly taking slow deep breaths, tears running down her cheeks.

Albert gently lifted up Leah into his arms, trying to cover her up. "Silly Le-dra. Clothes fall off 'gain." said the voice of Thog. Albert, through the same mouth, looked to the others. "Let us exeunt. Quickly. This'll not be pleasant when they decide to level it. There have to be survivors from the Enterprise down here on the surface, we need to make contact."

[LadyTevar]

A choked sob, as Thog childed her gently. " ... aren't you ... a little short .. for a giant..." Leah murmurred as she was lifted by the human Albert. If the vectors were there, they were quiet now, unable to be seen or felt as she leaned her head against his chest.

He was in Armor.
A shiver passed thru her, and the Vectors seemed to -crawl- a little along Albert's arms as a flash of memory hit. ".... Thog.... I want ... Thog..." she whimpered.

Matthew put his sword away, the black blade slid down the sheath once again. Metal encased feet then walked over to Rory as he leaned down and placed a hand on her shoulder. "Come on Rory. Let's get outta here." Matthew looked behind him cautiously, the dark armor he wore clanking with the movement. He slowly stood up straight again

They were definately coming.

As the vectors loosened around her throat and sat her down Rory gasped for air and quickly retracted away from her friend. Al had it under control. She sat quietly taking slow deep breaths, tears running down her cheeks.

Magneto floated over to the girl who was crying. He lowered himself down and knelt. A stray thought popped into his head, he needed to fashion himself worthwhile clothing. This time without purple...

"Are you alright?" He asked kneeling next to her. The other women was in hysterics. They did not do so well dealing with hysterics, best to allow others to handle that. And someone should make sure there was no lasting damage to this one.

[Rukia]

Rory looked at the two men and noded. "..Fine.. I'm fine..." Her limbs ached and her lungs still burned. As matt stood, alert She used him as a crutch to stand shakily to her feet. She took a few more deep breaths. "Hard to stand." She knew that her body had taken the oxygen from her lims to keep her alive. Her hands shook as she stedied herself on Matt. "How's Leah?"

[Agent Fisher]

Jack moved to the shattered door and looked outside for any enemies.

[Devonie]

Jules stalked forward and placed a hand on Rory's shoulder. "Not quite fine, but..." Her eyes focused inward for a moment, then "In Mani!" (healing). Her eyes flashed green as healing energy enveloped Rory for a moment, her face creasing in what would pass for a smile among goblins.

"You'll be fine now," she said quietly. "I need to see what I can do for Leah now."

Albert was briefly wrapped in what looked like stone, shifting, growing, cracking, shattering...

Thog burst out, picking up Leah into his arms and peering around. "Best we get out." He intoned. "Bad men gonna come soon, quick. Find people from flying thing."

Thog was here. Thog was holding her. Tears slipped out from Leah's closed eyes as her whole body finally relaxed. Now she was safe.

"Thog, Ottoman, ... in one of the hallways..." Leah suddenly stated, recalling how she had arrived. "Carvings on the wall there... history of the Dark Riders... how they're created. You have to see it. Someone has to learn how to stop them." Her eyes remained closed, not wanting to see anything in the castle anymore, wanting to just float away and forget.

Thog was here. Thog would protect her... from everything.
And she would kill to protect Thog

[Charon]

Matt moved Rory over to Magneto's shoulder, smiling at the two of them before stepping back, his metal feet clanking on the solid stone, reverberating throughout the large open space.

"I'll go check it out. That'll be important. Wait for me, but don't wait too long." Matt smiled and moved towards the walls of the cathedral, the walls were covered in the huge carvings which related how the dark riders were made. As far as Matt was concerned, killing them should be good enough, but if there was a source these things came from... Drawing his sword again and placing it against the wall as he began to look over the details.

"Lets get moving people. Who knows the way out?" Jack asked.

"Past the carvings of the Dark Riders...." Leah murmurred in answer, but perhaps only Thog heard. Safe. Protected. Leah was slowly slipping into unconsciousness, or perhaps just the first true sleep she'd had for days.

[Devonie]

Angela paced to where Thog stood, holding Leah.

"Thog," she murmered. "Thog, bring her down here. I need to speak to her."
She waited for Thog to kneel so she could speak to Leah without shouting.

"Leah. Leah honey, look at me." Angela wasn't a medic, but she'd kept her first aid card current, and shock was a real possibility.

Angela was shocked when Leah turned her face out of Thog's shoulder. Her face looked as though she'd been dragged backward through Hell. "Oh, baby girl! What have they done to you?" she asked, mainly of herself. "In Vas Zu Mani!" (healing sleep)

She watched as some of the tension drained from Leah's face.

"She'll sleep now, Thog. I can't erase the memory of what they did to her, but I can heal the physical damage - and give her rest. I just hope we don't need you to fight until we can be someplace safe."

She turns to the door. "We'd better get out of here before that 'Master' dude comes back."
