Urban Dead: This Means War

[Caz]

After fixing her bandages as best she could, she was up on her feet again, this time going for the interior route. Due to her slim figure and limber tendencies, she could slide through windows as opposed to doors, which was good when it came to leaving buildings unseen and unheard. She did so now, sliding through a bay window. Ritzy apartments, looked like. Mahogany furniture. Big TVs.

[Josh]

Slowly, carefully he pivoted around the door, leveling the rifle at her back.

"Freeze," he hissed.

[Caz]

That... had not been what she was expecting at all. Sherry froze, her back straight as a board, and she didn't turn to face whoever-the-fuck-it-was.

A slight inhalation, then an exhaled sigh. She said nothing.

[Josh]

Good. He rose to his feet, hissing with pain as bolts arced across his back from his wound.

"Okay," he said. "We can do this hard or easy. Hard, I shoot you in the leg and haul you back. Easy, I just cuff you up, and you walk back. Your choice."

He carefully advanced toward her, but stayed outside of punch/kick distance.

He was still behind her, and she still had no idea who the hell he was.

"'Pends on where you want to take me," she said standoffishly.

[Josh]

That answered that. He shifted his aim down to the back of her already-wounded leg and prepared to shoot.

[Dark Silver]

He heard the click of the gun as he rounded the building.

The scent was overpowering, Sherry's, and the other one.

Silver's growl was immediate and his reaction was unexpected. He didn't draw his shotgun, he didn't heft the battleaxe, instead he rushed man with a animal.

"GRH!"

[Josh]

CHRIST!

He started to say it. He didn't have time. As he turned in slow motion as the man-savage charged, he got out 'Chri', his finger squeezing the trigger, three rounds spitting out of the rifle, hitting god-only-knew-where.

[Caz]

Sherry spun wildly, kicking out at the man's face as he reacted to Silver's charge. The gun went off, but she saw and felt nothing so she must have been okay, right!? Oh GOD the fucking adrenaline was back and before she knew it she was pounding into the guy's face with the heel of her boot.

[Josh]

Something gave in his face as the boot hammered down repeatedly...

Like...

[Dark Silver]

The bullets ripped into his flesh, moving upward witht he path of the gun. Ripping through the meat of his left high, one ripping his side and the other firmly his shoulder.

The Animal, though, didn't feel the pain, it was only attacking. The heavy metalshod hand flashing in a upward stroke at the unprotected jaw, feral eyes flashing in the dim light.

[Caz]

And... it was pretty much evident through the first few blows that the guy was fucking toast.

But that didn't matter much to Sherry. She grabbed his rifle, slinging the strap over her shoulder--teehee, prize!--and stepping back, letting Silver finish him off.

[Dark Silver]

The gauntlet his the jaw, the man's head was knocked back...

He was going to be dead anyway..

The Animal wasbeing put back in it's cage, Silver closed his eyes as he drew off.

Fuck, he was bleeding, he could feel the pain of the three bullets. Fuck..

"Fuck me..." he said as he lifted himself off, and began to fall back....looking at the blood covered hitman. His eyes fixed on him, growling, "Put the fucking bullets in him, NOW!"

[Josh]

McCormack was long gone to the world at this point. Only bloody frothing bubbles from his shallow breathing gave hint to the fact that he was still, in fact, alive.

Sherry didn't hesitate.

Two quick shots, one right after the next.

Fuck, by the looks of the maggots on his back he'd been festering anyway,

He watched her put the bullets, before looking to his own wounds.

The blood was flowing from the wound on his thigh, his side was punctured through and through, and he couldn't see the wound on his shoulder.

They all hurt like hell to.

"Don't touch any of the fucking blood "he said between clenched teeth, pulling bandages from the pouch at his leg.

"No fucking arguements Sherry, go back to the mall, on the double."

He was ripping the swathes of cloth from his side, the dirty, blood soaked cloth and began to apply fresh ones. He couldn't let the blood flow. Couldn't let it get anywhere.

He looked at the body, the man with the automatic. He was infected, the body had to be burned. With his side patched up, he grabbed a thermite gernade from the bandolier, pulled the pin, and pitched it on the corpse.

[Caz]

She'd seen him double over, seen the blood, but in the high of combat it hadn't connected in her head. She stared uselessly down at her own body.

"Not touch any of it?" she asked, incredulous. "I'm fucking covered in blood and I can't tell which is yours and which is his!"

She wiped her hands gingerly on the breast of her shirt. It was true, she'd slugged him and kicked him after Silver had been shot...

"Why? Is it..."

Her face paled.

"Am I..."

Now she really was on the verge of panic.

[Josh]

The 2LI had already been moving into position. Silver's activation of the beacon had given them a target. The shooting had localized the problem, and they'd expertly moved in to surround the trio. Pair, now.

Decimus saw Silver down and Sherry covered with blood, with a body starting to incinerate.

"Ah... fuck," he snarled.

[Caz]

"Get back!" Sherry said, stumbling away from the body as the thermite ignited.

Yeah, like fucking fire was the worst of Silver's worry at the moment.

There was a flicker of movement outside the building, and Sherry called for him to follow her as she dashed outside into the rain, hoping to wash the tainted blood from her skin.

[Dark Silver]

He heard Decimus' exclimation as he worked himself to his feet. He was covered in his own blood, and the blood of his victim, using the shotgun as a crutch of sorts for the moment.

Shit...things hadn't done right. There was no telling now, if Sherry was infected.

"Fuck no...please don't let her be.." he said, before calling Decimus over, "Burn this whole fucking place down, thermite where it'll be the most effective. Make sure nothing which has a trace of my blood is left. Get me something to use as a crutch, and don't let anyone touch Sherry. God damn it...."

The second would escort them back to the Mall, Sherry would get cleaned up, get checked for infection, and then he would get locked up and put away.

"I hope to fucking god Ace and Mike can help her..."

The Second did thier job like professionals, ten minutes after the order was given, Silver was leaning on a makeshift crutch made from broken chairs, and the thermite gernades were setting the building afire with the rain.

The Irregular's set up a escort guard around the two, as they headed back to the Mall. Silver had no idea how he was going to tell Petro he may have infected Sherry.

Hell, he didn't know how he was going to make up for all this shit.

"Decimus, when we get back to the mall, leave me down, get me some new wraps, and then tell Petro I need the cell, stat. Make sure Sherry gets cleaned up immediatly, and goes see Ace...he'll know what to check for."

Silver looked tired on the entire trip back to the mall, it wasn't the sudden bloodloss, just the weght of what he may have just done. Because he wanted to go off, make this personal, he endangered the kid, and may have sentenced her to his fate.

"Fuck me..." he kept repeating that on the long walk home.

Petro appeared at the side entrance where the 2nd awaited entry, then turned and barked out some order before gesturing for them to be brought up.

The Second fanned out as the ropes were dropped, and Silver went to leaning on the wall, using his crutch to support himself.

Somehow, the scouts missed Billy, but the zombies didn't. He had frozen, petrified with fear. They...kept...coming. It was just too much for a little boy to handle.

Suddenly, a redhead braided woman wearing a green army jacket, cargo pants, and combat boots had grabbed him. He was unsure of what was being said, he was incoherant right now...sliding further and further within, to a quiet and safe place.

"Are ye out o' yer focking mind?" Brianna was screaming at the kid as she grabbed him with one arm, literally throwing him over her shoulder as she laid bullets into the zombies with the other. BAM BAM BAM. They kept coming. She knew that. But each hit bought her just a few seconds, and she could travel faster than most of them. Even the ones at regular speed. She was combat trained. "Hang on, boyo! T'is will be a bumpy ride!"

She carries the boy, shooting along the way. Out of bullets? She has a strew of clips attached across her shoulder and chest.

Brianna was a member of the IRA. While on 'vacation", and by vacation it could easily be said that she most certainly had a target, the zombies began to appear, and the place was quarentined off. Bugger, she had traveled a long way to get to this mall, and had encountered all kinds. But it was the only hope this rag tag group she had waiting back in secured area had of survival.

"Ye willna get me ye bastards! Ye can gae ond fock yerselves!"

Billy is heavy, even for a woman who is fairly strong, but the adrenaline is rushing.

As the rain continued to pummel them, Sherry scrubbed at her skin, trying to get the blood off. Infected or not, it was disgusting, to be covered with the insides of another person. Especially one she'd killed herself. Good fuck, what had she been thinking? Her bloodthirstiness was an issue sometimes, but...

But not that bad.

Not caring as to whether or not anything had happened that would make her toxic, she threaded her hand through Silver's as they waited outside the mall.

"I'm not gonna just let you die like this," she said. He'd been far too kind to her... He'd fucking saved her ass from that weirdo with the rifle as well... "We started this mess together, 's how we'll finish it.
