The Glitch IV - Inversion (Ch. 1)

Thog had set her down ages ago. But she couldn't make her legs move. Nothing seemed to be working right she just stood there shoulders slumped. If they hadn't know better the other would have thought she has gone idle, but this was real... she was in shock.

[Shark Bait]

Ted leaned against a wall breathing hard wanting to vomit. He didn't know either the girl or the man who had just thrown themselves at their new enemy and for that he counted himself lucky he could distance himself from at least some of the horror of the day.

“Guess acting macho is finally catching up with me.â€

Matthew had waken up, Auron felt the man move, and looked to him, "Are you able to stand? " he asked, "I'll be able to move quicker without having to carry you"

When Thog finally arrived at the armory, he found it unguarded, and the door wide open. Inside, someone was rummaging through the chests and cabinets within.

"Oh, this looks interesting..." the small, childlike voice could be heard saying, and even once it said something about it's maps...

When Thog finally looked in, he would see a small person, no more the size of a child, with a bright red topknot, brillant blue leggings, and sevral bulging pouches...

Vash jumped out of the second level window he had taken the Nullcron on from, and ran towards Magneto's hovering location. "Come on Mags, get it together. We need to get away before more come!"

The Humanoid Typhoon looked upon the Master of Magnetism, then looked around almost nervously, as if he expected the Nullcron to get up at any moment.

[SirNitram]

"...Eh?" Albert/Thog peered at the.. Child? "Look, I don't know who you are.. Are you with Auron?" The half-giant went for his things and Leandras, seeking something.. Out of place. Whatever would have been stashed here.

[Charon]

Matthew nodded slowly as Auron asked the question. "Yes, I can stand." His hand brushed against Yuffie's cheek for a brief moment before he slipped himself off the samurai's shoulder and stood shakily on his feet for a moment, looking back at the others.

"Come on, we're almost out of here. Lets make the sacrifices made worth it."

Matthew started running forward with that, trying to keep pace with the group.

"What? Auron? Oh no no, I'm not with Auron, I got here with this!"

The child brought out something from his pocket, it looked like a small ornament from a necklace, but suddenly it grew into a bejewled scepter. It gleamed lightly, and pulsed with magic, so that even ones with no arcane sense, could tell it was powerful.

"It's magic you know. It was given to me by a great wizard, well...maybe not given, more like borrowed...." he rambled on, but the scepter seemed to draw Thog's eye, almost calling to him.

Auron moved over to Leah, though he still held Yuffie in arm. He looked with a sense of almost...sorrow for her, as he offered his hand, "Come...we have not much time. The Gobliness is right."

[frigidmagi]

Magneto floated to the ground, confusion would have to wait. They needed to be gone from this cursed place.

"You are correct Vash. Gather our allies and I will remove us from this place." He said. He left the end of the sentence unspoken, after we are gone I will reduce this place to a shattered ruin for the pain that has been caused here, so speaks Magneto.

"What? Auron? Oh no no, I'm not with Auron, I got here with this!"

"I'll swap you..." Thog thought quickly. Something shiny. Something nice. He drew both blades he had scored off the Dark Rogue. "How about these? A great, terrible villain used them. I bet they're really neat." There was an earnest-ness in his voice. He had no clue what this kid was, but that sceptre.. It was important.

[Dark Silver]

"Oh pretty.." the kender stared at the swords, seemed to think about it for a moment..

"Well, I don't know...I DID Promise I would return the Scepter...."

When he saw the bit of black ichor drip off the sword, his eyes widdened. "Deal!"

He released the scepter, and it began to fall to the ground, as the kender grabbed the sword from Thog's big hand.

Out of the corner of Thog's eye, he could already see some of Sivri and Leandra's stuff poking out of the overstuffed pouches, while some of Matthew's rings, along with Thog's own precious cookie pouch, stuffed from another...

Vash nodded, and rushed back to find Auron and the others. So little time...

[SirNitram]

"Oh pretty.." the kender stared at the swords, seemed to think about it for a moment..

"Well, I don't know...I DID Promise I would return the Scepter...."

When he saw the bit of black ichor drip off the sword, his eyes widdened. "Deal!"

He released the scepter, and it began to fall to the ground, as the kender grabbed the sword from Thog's big hand.

Out of the corner of Thog's eye, he could already see some of Sivri and Leandra's stuff poking out of the overstuffed pouches, while some of Matthew's rings, along with Thog's own precious cookie pouch, stuffed from another...

Thog snatched up the sceptre.. And then saw the pouches. The pouches of the girls. And more importantly.

...The cookies. Thog, overriding Albert briefly, grabbed the Kender. He hoisted the tiny being up in his off-hand, apparently going to assault someone with a combination of mysterious sceptre and tiny, kleptomaniacal humanoid. "C'mon, short stuff... We've got to get out of here.."

[Rukia]

Rory acted on instict and shoved Ted back, hard "What the fuck?! Why'd you hit me?" It took her a few seconds to regain her bearings. She shook her head and looked at him, "I'm sorry...I didn't hurt you....?" She swayed a bit and look like she was going to faint.

[Comrade Tortoise]

Justin stood catching his breath. He looked over everyone to make sure they were OK. At least physically, he didnt know about their psychological state.

He went around, and checked everyone. Making sure there were no gaping wounds, broken bones or anything of that nature.

Leah was unsteady, huge hollows under her eyes. "Let's just leave...." she said, clutching Darek's axe in both hands. "I want to go home."

Rory acted on instict and shoved Ted back, hard "What the fuck?! Why'd you hit me?" It took her a few seconds to regain her bearings. She shook her head and looked at him, "I'm sorry...I didn't hurt you....?" She swayed a bit and look like she was going to faint.

Theodore's head banged against the wall when Rory shoved him not the worst that could of happened, flooding was usually not the best therapy but it was fast and these were desperate times. Ted rubbed his head for a second before he replied “yeah I’m fine more important question is are you?â€

Vash arrived at nearly the same time as Thog, back with the group.

"Magneto's ready to getus out of here" he said evenly, "and Auron....they know."


Auron nodded, as he craddled Yuffie's body, and looked to the group, even the approaching Thog, who held in his hand a orante scepter and.....a child?

"What did the great lumox find now, we have not time for this..." as he fished out the commnication device he used to call for Magneto.

"Auron to Magneto, I am getting them out, fall back to the ship. Auron to Enterprise, transport."

None had a chance to respond, as they all disappeared in the blueish white glow of a transporter effect.

The entire group, minus Magneto, reappeared a moment later in the austere Transporter room of a Federation Starship. The crewmanstanding behind the console was dressed in a simple grey jumpsuit style uniform with his namepatch written across the front left breast, "Smith".

Vash nodded to the man, and turned to the group as Auron rushed past them, through the sliding doors, and headed for the Med bay, to see what could be done for Yuffie....

"Welcome to the Enterprise...." Vash said, moving to lead them out of the transporter room, "Let's see about getting all of you cleaned up..." and casting a eye on the Kender held by Thog, "Keep ahold of him."

(GM's Note: Matt's the only one who can actually break away from the group, i'd imagine he wants to follow Auron to see about Yuffie....the rest of you will be lead to a massive stateroom complete with showers/bathe facility so you can get cleaned up, and rest. Use the time to....try to relax, you have a few gamehours of time)

Leah's eyes were huge, looking around the ship in shock.

"No... way. The Enterprise..." she turned at stared at Vash before he left them to get cleaned up. "Captain Kirk onboard?"

Thog, already saddled with babysitting duty(What was this kid? Though it did answer how his day could get worse), shook his head. "On any other day, this might seem strange. Think they have alcohol?"

[Agent Fisher]

Jack was wide eyed. Just a few minutes ago he was being held captive after being beaten to a pulp. Now he was on a starship. This was seriously fucked up. He was lead to a stateroom. After the door closed, he headed towards the replicator.

[Comrade Tortoise]

Justin looked around. He was a nerd of the 9th circle. He had TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager (but not Enterprise, it was an abomination) on archaic DVDs which he had a vintage player for. Found them for cheap on eBay (or its equivalent) along with all of Babylon 5 and Star Wars and a bunch of other sci fi from the turn of the century, and even some older stuff. The moment he got to something unique, he would be able to ID the ship class, and would know if the warp core was liable to explode.

Then the realization hit him

"Nope... they have synthahol though. All the taste, without the drunk" Justin said with a bitter tinge to his voice

Ted still holding Rory up knocked on one wall, "So the eterprise eh?" he and Justin said in unison smileing "yeah so why couldn't you get like a good ship?" both his dad and grandad were big Star Wars fans and so he had some left over feelings on its superiority.

[Charon]

Matthew didn't even seem to be paying attention to where he was now. He ignored the Kender, though in the back of his mind he recognized what it was, it wasn't important though. He brushed past Vash, he was somewhere, a ship, it wasn't important. Matthew followed the body of Yuffie, he caught up to Auron about halfway to the medbay.

"You, can make her better right? She'll be ok? You've got something to help her right? Please?"

Matthew followed them all the way to the medbay, watching anxiously as she was brought to one of the tables and laid down.

"Doesn't look so bad." Thog shrugged, keeping a firm grip on the kid and the sceptre. He was considering shaking loose Sivri's and Leandra's pouches from the little klepto. "I'm sure we can hit the machines until they give up booze. It's a navy ship, right? ALways booze somewhere. Anyway. What's this sceptre thing I had to get?"

[Dark Silver]

Vash lead them all to the staterooms, the sliding doors opening as if waiting for them to go in. "No, wrong Enterprise, this is the D, the Enterprise herself is currently on assignment elsewhere. Everything is voice activated, the computer will answer all questions you got...well..most of them. The Replicators can make anything you ask...the Recreational Holodeck is down the hall..."

With that, Vash started back down the hall, waving to them.

Auron shook his head as he continued to the med bay, "I don't know.." was his only answers to Matthew's questions.

Once they arrived, he rushed in, laid Yuffie on a biobed, and let the Medical Tech's goto work.

With that, he turned out, and went to the waiting room. Covered with blood, he put a hand on Matthew's shoulder, and spoke to the man quietly, trying to comfort him.

Justin's face blanched white

"Vash, please tell me that this is version of the enterprise has been retrofitted and that sixty gigawatts of energy imparted on to the shields will not cause a warp core breach. Please tell me that is the case"
