Just so you know Cynial, Astinus would probably be willing to bury the hatchet with Nalifan in order to rescue his best friend and a Mystran priestess. Up to and including using the manse as a safehouse to avoid further losses.

At least that is what I would have him do. He may be a zealot, but he is more a pragmatist than Geheris.

Jesus Christ, were you sued for the unintentional vandalism of every piece of glass in a five mile radius or something? And 'Catholic Schoolgirl in heat' is a redundant statement, it's like saying 'Pro-Trek debator being stupid'. I personally wasn't expecting HK-55s as much as modified Protocol Droids... until they used the HK-speech. Y'know, like 4-LOM.

I'm waiting to see if what's left of Kaeryn shows up at the brothel as a 'message' to the Vera'Dome...

But gods above, they've just screwed themselves. Nal's going to take that city apart..
"Kaeryn wouldn't be a party to such treachery."

Nalifan clapped his hands together. "Excellent! Yes, of course she wouldn't. She would turn on me if I were to try it. Far too many enemies for me to overcome alone."
.. Nal's got nothing to lose now.

I imagine there is very little Astinius wouldn't do to save Gaheris. But lets not get ahead of ourselves. At the moment, Astinius doesn't know anything is wrong.

God damn, what kind of steroids is that Imperceptor on?

And just so you know, Nalifan's manse is looking better by the second.

Furthermore, Bane can go get fucked. Or so would have been Gaheris' response had he been able to speak.

Well, there are two choices. Run, or fight. Fighting without Gaheris is not much of an option... mostly spellcasters, need our meat shields... running would probably be best.

hehe

He's an Imperceptor, so augmentation spells granted by Bane. With Hatred and Destruction Domains for Smiting and beating the crap out my chosen opponent granted powers.

He's had time to prepare, surprise, and is fighting in his prefered manner and he's an Imperceptor. Very bad news.

Time for the ArchMages to cover our retreat, while Kaeryn grabs Messina, Gaheris, and whomever else she can teleport out.

Or do we get a touching scene of Nal trying to save Messina by himself?

His preferred manner is unarmed against a monk? Strange.

Please tell me that Rakshasa was tricked out with items and had character levels... because Astinius is BETTER in melee combat than a standard Rakshasa...

No, I meant against Gaheris. On the other hand, he grew up at the bottom of the heap in a rough and tumble orc war camp and went on to get priestly and military training from a bunch of guys who like spiked gauntlets. Combine really good strength by half-orc standards, magical enhancements on top of that, and having a lot more levels and goodies than poor Streck (who is on the skinny side) and grappling is bad for the poor monk.

As for the Rakshasas, without saying too much, all of them have character levels and goodies.

Yeah, characters who grew up on the bottom of the heap are nasty like that. Oh wait.

As for poor Streck, it occurs to me that I should perhaps send you names and stats for some of the lower-ranking members of the Vara'Dome for this purpose. Disposable ones only, though, at the rate this is going.

Finally, Trizk is back at last. Although I fear what he'll find.

Trizkel has many questions, his memories are conflicted and if he doesnt get answers it can go one of two ways.

Am I correct in guessing that those would be 'violence' and 'lots of violence'?

Oh c'mon Trizkel has learned some of the finer points of diplomacy from Nalifan

Oh? What's it to ya? You wanna go, punk?

I would hate to see it's reaction to a justiciar if that's what he thinks of Gaheris.

Amusing how Kaeryn can speak so calmly to the hulking beast. I wonder how long it took before she was used to it moving around the manor?

But the Banites have made the worse mistake of their life. Nal will watch her die without a sound, and then calmly kill every single Banite he can get his hands on in vengence.

He usually wears a human or drow form.

There's a big difference between seeing a gray-skinned human/drow, and seeing a Grey Slaad. ;)

As a rule of thumb, they aren't. They are, however, creatures of chaos and subject to considerable personal variation.
