#1 Cheap Crockpots!

Post by B4UTRUST »

While I wouldn't normally go advertising stuff for sale on the board like this, currently Overstock.com has free shipping on everything on their site. So this is a great time to get a good deal on a crockpot or any of that other kitchen stuff you have been wanting/needing for all these great recipes being posted up.

Since the question was just asked to me, I'll discuss it here too.

Anodized Cookware - why buy it?

If you use a pure metal cookware, such as those nice copper pans or the aluminum pots that are so cheap there's a chance of the metal in them, being reactive metals, leaking into your food. This is not good. This is a health risk. Granted, it's not guarenteed to happen, but it's also more likely as the pot or pan ages. Especially when you cook acidic foods in them. This will, over time, eat at the metal.

Anodized cookware is generally inexpensive, durable, long-lasting and twice as hard as stainless steel. It's also non-reactive to acidic foods, scratch resistant, won't dent as easily as cheaper metals and is almost always available with a non-stick finish.

I hope this helps answer any questions.
