Strangest foods you enjoy

#1 Strangest foods you enjoy
What is the strangest food or combinations of foods that you enjoy? It doesn't have to be current, it could be anything you've enjoyed through your life.
For example: When I was a kid, I enjoyed pickle and egg sandwiches. I haven't really tested it recently, but I remember enjoying them a lot when I was younger.

I used to put mustard on just about anything when I was younger. Haven't done it in a while, I don't think I like it that much anymore. Especially what with my primary mustard being Colman's and whatnot.

Natto. Umeboshi.
Ramen and Dr. Pepper (like, Dr. Pepper as the beverage, not ramen cooked in Dr. Pepper)
Limes. I'm not talking putting slices in drinks or squeezing a little juice for something. I'm talking eating them.
I enjoy pickle juice straight from the jar, but it tastes funny when I pour it into a glass and then drink it. Probably has something to do with the way the smell moves around in an upturned pickle jar vs. an ordinary drinking glass.

Termites. Lighter. Mix the two. Pretty good actually.

I have had that. Boiled egg, pickle and tomatoe sandwish. It's quite common. The pickle egg combo is as well.Hotfoot wrote:What is the strangest food or combinations of foods that you enjoy? It doesn't have to be current, it could be anything you've enjoyed through your life.

Personly. I'd have to say. Yogurt(sour) and speggetie/pasta. It sounds funny but it can taste good. lol. I have not had it in ages. It is an afgani dish.

Those little garlic-butter dipping sauces that come with the Papa John's Pizzas. Drinking those babies straight. Yum.
Also: Straight up vanilla extract has some appeal. I tend to keep a bottle in my coat to vanillaize my Coca-Colas since Coke stopped making 'Nilla Coke and Vanilla Pepsi tastes awful.
Any kind of raw dough is good too. Raw noodles, raw bread, raw pizza crust.

I enjoy kittens... grilled with barbecue sauce. Yum!
Anyway, I like raw noodles too. Here's the instruction:
(1) Crush the noodles while still in the packaging wrapper.
(2) Make an opening at a side of the wrapper, and take away the seasonings.
(3) Pout some salt and pepper.
(4) While holding the opening with your hand, shake the wrapper to distribute the salt/pepper evenly.
(5) Eat directly from the wrapper, like eating Doritos.
EDIT: Oh, I also love raw meat too. Raw fish, raw meat, anything raw. So when eating Shabu-shabu, I never bother cooking my part; I just eat them raw!

I do all those things with fries as well, with the ranch or gravy, and the like.
I guess my weird items are cold pizza with mustard. Pizza rolls with E-Z -cheese injected in them and then diped in con-queso cheese dip. Or mottzurella(sp) chunks diped in con-queso dip. I guess most of my wierd stuffs has to do with the liberal application of chesse *shrug*
I have also found pickle juice very good for when I am working at the Renaissance Festival, seems to help the voice.

Those seasoned fries, now they need ranch and lots of it.
Mustard can and often does go on anything. In fact I have several different mustards; a chipotle for Mexican dishes, a horseradish heavy one for brauts and most other things, a Coney Island mix for hotdogs and burgers, and French's yellow gunk for when I'm hungering nostalgic.
I used to get tongue sandwitches when I was little. Little ketchup, little mayonnaise, and you had a tasty sandwitch.

Raw noodles.*blinks*
And people thought me weird for enjoying noodles with nothing but melted butter on them.
I don't know if it's just something local but I don't know many people who like bacon for breakfast, or on their burger.
And so far I'm the only one I know who prefers sausages to steak at a barbecue (well excepting my nephew I guess).

Japloeno's on my triskets with a dash of hotsauce and a slice of cheese.
War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things. The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling which thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse. The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature, and has no chance of being free unless made or kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.
