We'll be out of town for a few days. Nitram's got another doctor's appt at the University of Virginia at a god-awful hour of the morning Thursday. Since it's a 5hr drive, we're going up tomorrow, staying two nights, and coming back.

May it go far more uneventfully and smoothly than the last trip did.

Amen to that.
I don't know if the Hospitality House will have internet access, so we may not be able to get online. Once again, it'd be nice if we had a laptop... *sigh*

Nitram and I are at the Hospitality House at UVA. It's... well.. a house with shared bathrooms, kitchen, and living room. Only the bedrooms are private. For $20/night, what do you expect? At least there's access to here.
Nit's a nervous wreck. I think its even worse this time because his mom's here. She was shocked by how bad he looks. I'll give you guys a further update tomorrow. I need to get to bed so I can have him up by 8am.

Well... after one night at the Hospitality House, we let Nit's mom get us a room at the Red Roof Inn. 10x better.
Anyway... the Liver Clinic did NOT do a surgical biopsy, just two needle biopsies, one to the right lobe, one to the left (through the front of the abdomen). Before they could do that, however, they had to remove nearly 3liters of fluid. (This is on top of the 7.5 liters removed last Friday before he left the hospital in Charleston. So, yes, that is 10liters of fluid removed within 7 days.) Results by April 5th. At this time, they are going to stick to medication to treat him, and an actual liver transplant is some years down the road, if at all.
Anyway... we got home safely, and Nitram is hurting and annoyed. Anyone who was thinking of visiting can just turn around and go home, he's in No Mood For Company.
However, I'm in the mood to be taken out, wined, dined, and helped to relax from all the stress of the past two weeks. Maybe Nitram will let me go to Shoneys for the All-I-Can-Eat Seafood & Salad bar?
