#1 I am thinking of learning Esperanto
I have always found the movie "Incubus" starring William Shatner to be really interesting to listen to, the language being very beautiful so I am thinking of learning Esperanto for fun. Anyone want to learn with me?

I prefer to learn languages that people actually speak, and that have culture, linguistics, and history to them. Esperanto is none of those things.

My cousin Debbie and my Tyson, both of whom are Linguistic anthropologists and my friend Sarah who is learning it because she is a cultural anthropology masters student.

Weird most of us cultural anthropologist students prefer to learn a language that is spoken by an actual culture.
For example I want to go to India and do anthropological studies there (Mumbai alone Wow!), so I'm trying to get into Hindi classes. Who is Sarah planning to study that she needs Esperanto if I may ask?
That said if you want to learn it, have fun I say.

You'd be better off with Klingon or Quenya, if you really insist on a constructed language, but if you want to learn Esperanto then hey, at least you'll be able to talk to George Soros.
