#1 Field Season

Hello Folks.

If you have noticed, my posting frequency has been very very slow. It is not because I do not love you, but because of the end-semester crunch. Keeping a 4.0 GPA as a grad student is one hell of a bitch.

However that is not all. My field season has begun. This means that my access to the interwebs, starting very soon (as I am collecting snakes locally right now) is about to become intermittent at best. I will be based out of Tempe (in fact staying with my Undergrad, with The Silence and FM) but will be spending protracted periods in the desert.

That is all.

Hugs and kisses,

Tortoise

In what country are you based? Also, what research work are you undertaking?

Cheers,

Squidgey.

What with him saying he'll be based out of Tempe I think the US seems like a good guess for country and I very much suspect Florida is a likely candidate state
As for the kind of research I'd volunteer biology in general, animal biology in not quite as general, and reptiles in specific?

And I would positively have been happier without the hugs and kisses.

You see, it was a perfectly good question because there is a suburb a few stops on the train line on the east Hills line for the Sydney Train Network from Central Station. It's just before the airport and Wolli Creek IIRC. Hence the query because not all of us are from the U.S. and the world doesn't revolve around everyone knowing everything about the U.S. because most of us outside don't actually care too much...sounds harsh but I'm sick of online game chats where you just turn around and go: You're from America aren't you? And the confirmation just makes you shake your head...I digress but my point is still valid. :)

Comrade Tortoise, So are you looking at becoming a herpatologist then?

Here in Sydney each year first weekend of May The Australian Frog and Reptile Show is put on and I volunteer to help each year (3rd year this year was good seeing everyone again, been each year, and know the main organiser). It's epic and I so want a python...

What species of reptile are you looking at? What is it you are studying/researching exactly?

Cheers,

Squidgey.
