Realized we didn't have a thread for this! Happy Independence Day everyone!

On account of having another burn ban this year, we had no fireworks. In lieu of that, we massacred the wasp's nest in the electrical box outside, which would've been on the menu any other day but today was a special celebration of Americana.
There was also a feast, to include hot dogs, potato salad, deviled eggs, burgers both from cow and bison, as well as cake and cookies.
Unfortunately the ants got into the cake, but otherwise a good time was had by all. Other than the wasps.
Then I retired to my casa with my best buddy, and as we were watching Chronicle a thunderstorm blew in from the north. Just at the dramatic point in the movie the thunder starts rocking outside and it totally enhanced the movie. Loud-ass thunder, too.

I usually remember making these kinds of threads. But I've been away. And yesterday I went and started a thread over in N+P and didn't even think to look in the Great Hall.
