#1 Mon Mothma

Of course, most of us know of Mon Mothma, Supreme Leader of the Alliance to Restore the Republic, from RotJ. She went on to become the first Surpeme Chancellor of the New Republic, finally going into retirement and stepping down. Leia then replaced her as SC.
In a well-known deleted scene in RotS, Mothma appears in a meeting of what is supposed to be the birth of the Rebellion. In this she still appears to be of respectable age (say, late thirties or so). While I guess deleted scenes aren't canon, my question is this:
Counting the Birth of the Rebellion scene, A: How old is Mon Mothma overall, as of her retirement from the NR Senate? If it isn't exactly known, what's the best estimate? And B: (going by the answer to A) What does this indicate of Wars citizens' lifespans in general? I got the impression from all this that Mothma is indeed quite long-lived, as she was a senior senator even during the Clone Wars.
I know these all might be very easy to answer questions, but I'm just not sure exactly of the entire timeframe of the two trilogies overall. I recall hearing that RotS is set twenty years before ANH, but I couldn't swear to that.
