Discuss this episode here.

Ooh, a Starbuck episode! Yes! And, a crack Toaster fighter. Sweet...

This ep is looking really good. I am actually liking the time jumping this time; it beats the crap out of the 48 hours eariler thing.

I like how Starbuck and Apollo are sure they are dead. Propably pretty common.

Wow. To say Starbuck's snapped is a genuine understatement. The tension... It's so thick you can cut through it with a knife... I love it!

I really liked that name listing. It was quite touching.

My gods, that was awesome, awesome, awesome! Hell, even Starbuck swallowed her pride, for the one moment she had to... There's more excellent things about this episode than can be listed. This was, without a doubt, the best nBSG episode of the season, and one of the best of the entire series. Certainly one of the most awesome plotlines I've seen in a long time, excellent interaction between the characters, deep tension, a real feeling of the sheer stress they were going through, and a stellar performance on part of the cast.

I will also second that the name listing was deeply touching, as was Starbuck's reminiscing about the time she spent with Anders on Caprica. It was beautiful.

Five Vipers out of Five!

And an honorable mention must go out to Scar himself; a frighteningly fierce, cunning villain. He never said anything, and he didn't have to. An excellent predatory antagonist.

To keep from saying the same things as everyone else...

When I saw the previews, I thought, "Oh, the Red Baron in space. Very original." But then, wow. He certainly went down in a bloody mess, too. (Isn't it weird that we all naturally think of Scar as "he" and not "it"?)

So, the Raiders get resurrected, too (well, not anymore, but still). Does that mean the Centurions also get/got resurrected?

Pegasus is making new Vipers. Just in case anybody missed that.

Seems I was wrong about Starbuck being Pegasus CAG still. Apollo must be a captain and Galactica CAG again. Speaking of, if they really did have drunken sex, it would've ended like when Starbuck had drunken sex with Baltar...yelling of the wrong name. Symmetrical in its way, perhaps, but Apollo has enough problems already.

EDIT: According to Ron Moore's blog, Centurions are not sentient and do not get resurrected. I guess they're like pets too.

I remember something; the Mk. VII Vipers have three guns - a third is mounted on the vertical fin - but only the two wing-cannons fired in this episode. Odd.

Image
Notice the third gun, readily visible on the vertical fin.
